TWENTY
_____Zumi once again found herself sat on one of the old plastic chairs inside of their school's gym, but this time, she didn't feel the urge to clasp her hand tightly against the edge of her seat because of the fact that she already knew a few people that were part of the team. But that didn't stop her from feeling nervous every single time someone looked like they were going to approach her.
Her lips were pressed to a thin line as her eyes watched the team play continuous sets of volleyball and work outs within a span of two to three hours, that almost made her feel tired just by merely staring at them.
Once they were finally done, she noticed the blond-haired twin and Suna approach her.
"Hey." Suna greeted with a nod, wondering why you were there since he didn't seem to remember inviting you there in the first place, though he didn't mind you being able to watch him at all. If anything, he swore that even he didn't look like he was slacking off for the second half of the game this time.
"Hello, Hoga-chan." Atsumu greeted her with a warm smile, reaching over to pat her head.
Zumi's lips pulled up at this then answered a quiet, "Hello."
Atsumu then walks away to head to their locker room while his brother started to approach the two of them.
She turned back to look at her brown-haired friend who was already staring at her while tilting his head up to drink from his water bottle with a face void of emotion. She quickly looked away because of this, which made him chuckle quietly once he was done drinking.
"So, what are you doing here, Zumi?" Suna asks, placing his hands on each of his sides while his chest rose and fall from the intense exercise that they had just finished.
"Osamu-san offered to buy me ice cream." Zumi replied with a small smile.
Suna's mouth twitched down unnoticeably, feeling an unfamiliar pang that prodded and poked against the delicate muscle inside his chest though he held it in. The thought of her being alone with a boy other than him didn't sit very well with him because he got used to being the only one that hung out with her – and yes, it was quite selfish if he asked for her to let it stay that way.
Suna raises his brow after a few seconds at this then asks, "Oh? Is it alright if I join you two? I've been forgetting to refill my stash of jelly fruit sticks anyways."
He took a glance at the grey-haired twin to see that his hands were fisted tightly against his sides.
Suna frowned in slight guilt, I'm sorry but I like her too. He instantly froze at his own sudden realization, reaching up to rub the back of his neck as he felt the tips of his ears slowly turn red each passing moment.
Suna glances down at the girl who was giving him a small smile and instantly felt conscious, feeling his heart beat become rapid – shit, is it even possible to like someone after just a little more than a month of knowing them or am I going to fast?
She gave him a nod before saying, "Sure, if Osamu-san is alright with it."
She looks at the grey-haired boy who reluctantly nods.
-o-
As the three of them walked towards the direction of the store, they were enveloped in an aura of awkwardness that they could all probably sense. Zumi walked in between the two of them while Suna walked on her right and Osamu on her left. She clutched the straps of her bag tightly and pursed her lip, staring at the cement ground that they walked on and solely putting her attention on that.
