THIRTY-THREE
_____The next two months were spent with them together most of the hours, taking as much time as they could as they hung out at their usual place while keeping the happy atmosphere that they tried to maintain. Though it was getting harder and harder when the third-years' graduation was coming closer as each day went by.
It was now March with February running by as if it was just some random bridge that connected to the next place that the two of them anticipated. February was filled with memorable lunches and hang-outs together, with its fourteenth day being a day where Zumi really realized how much feelings could grow considerably even if they had only known each other for six months.
Last fourteenth of February, Suna had given her a rose with a little necklace hung on its vibrant green stem. She remembered him clutching it nervously in between his hands as he stood awkwardly in front of her while she sat on the bench, curiosity etched on her face when she watched him with slight amusement.
"Hey, Rin. What do you have there?" Zumi asked with a small smile on her face, watching as his eyes averted to the ground. He wordlessly presents the single Rose to her while she accepts it bashfully. The pad of her index finger ran around the soft petal before it came in contact with the necklace that hung loosely around it.
Her eyes widened in surprise when she sees the small circle in the middle – it had a mini version of the picture that the two of them took and it was a bit sloppily covered in some glossy hard material that made her realize that it was something he created.
"Did you make this?" Zumi asked with her lips parting to form a small 'o'. She looked up and saw him nod his head hesitantly before taking a seat right beside her.
"Yeah... Yuma helped me make that. Sorry if it's kind of ugly." He muttered then turned his head away to avoid her from seeing the way the tips of his ears turned red in embarrassment.
She shook her head then laid her head on his shoulder, reaching her right arm to give him a side-hug before pulling way, "No, this is really cute. I love it."
She laughed when she saw the pinkish tint on his cheeks grow darker before rummaging through her bag. She pulled her hand out when it grasped a small brown box that was the size of her palm, though it was only thin.
"I got you something for Valentines too. Here, I hope you like it." She says before handing him the small box. He accepts the small box from her then proceeds to open the lid, his lips parting in surprise when he sees what was inside.
He lifts up the black leather book in his hands then snaps his head to look at her in alarm, "But this is yours... I can't accept this."
She pushes his hand back that was extended to her then says, "No, you will accept it. After all, it was the reason we became closer." She pats the art book in his hands then says, "Besides, I have more sketch books at home. I want you to have this you can remember me when I'm away."
"I- thank you." He mumbles then surprises her when he wraps his arms around her to give her a hug.
"You're welcome, Rin."And that was February, though today, it was already the fifth of March with the flowers on the Cherry Blossom Tree closed in preparation for April when it blooms, though Zumi wouldn't be there anymore to see its pinkish color.
