They simply stare, and all the emotions come rushing in, because Jisoo finds herself lost in soft, yet deep brown eyes, and because Chaeyoung finally registers the fact that she's there.

And Jisoo stands there, so effortlessly beautiful and so damn triggering, Chaeyoung thinks, because before she knows it, tears are forming in her eyes and she fights the urge to break down in front of the girl she loves.

She has to be strong,

she doesn't want her to see her like this,

she can't let her see her like this.

tears aren't a big deal, she tells herself, but she knows they are, she knows that she's been bottling everything up, and she knows that the tears are just all the anger, love, and sadness that she feels for and because of the girl standing in front of her.

This doesn't go unnoticed by Jisoo despite Chaeyoung's efforts. Jisoo sees, and she knows that the younger is hurting, and she hates herself for that, she hates the fact that she's causing her pain, but she hates the fact that she's too scared to love her, and hug her, and protect her, and make everything okay even more.

And suddenly

"Oh my god. Park Chaeyoung? Is that you"

And Chaeyoung registers the familiar voice, wipes her almost tears and thanks god for saving her from that akward situation.

"Oh my God, Lisa? Lalisa manoban from middle school, you're kidding"

"My childhood friend changieeeeee, you're so big now aww"

"I'm literally older than you"

Lisa shrugged

"Doesn't matter"

And for the first time in a long time Chaeyoung was genuinely happy, though that still didn't stop her from looking behind Lisa's shoulder only to realize that Jisoo had gone.

And then Chaeyoung noticed the girl standing beside Lisa and her, the girl was staring at lisa, almost glaring, but in a loving way if you now what I mean. Chaeyoung also happened to notice that this was Jennie kim, THE Jennie Kim.

Holy shit, Chaeyoung thinks, so she breaks from the hug and nudges lisa

"Huh, wha-"

Chaeyoung points at Jennie with her eyes

"Oh, shi- , well um, you remember Jennie right?"

"Duh, you would never shut up about her"

Chaeyoung knew exactly what she was doing, and here she was teasing lisa about Jennie even years later

"Oh really?"

Jennie spoke up, obviously joining in on the teasing

Lisa looked at Jennie and pouted, jennie just smiled

Ok ok so something's definitely going on, Chaeyoung thinks

"Yes right, well she's my girlfriend"

"Wait whattt, so you're telling me that YOU managed to pull Jennie Kim"

Chaeyoung and Jennie laughed

"Heyy stop teasingg"

"Kidding kidding, I'm happy for you guys Li"

She was happy for her, she was, but that didn't stop the aching feeling in her  heart that had presented itself.
