The prince swung the sword hard but could not attain his target ,his opponent had defended the blow with his shield , he knew it was hard to defeat his dear brother but that didn't demotivate him .
"Sagara, had not I told you to understand your opponent's weakness before you strike him" Said a strong voice as it's owner came and stood between the two young princes, "Think of a position that your opponent finds himself uncomfortable and constantly push him to it" he paused .
''Let's go for it again" Sagara said when he opened his eyes after seconds of silence, his brother gave him a nod and both of them positioned themselves, ready to attack.
The man returned to the girl who was waiting for him , examining her sword ,
"Are you ready ?" he asked her
"I am always ready , Pita" said the girl with pride but without a trace of arrogance, her voice was indeed young and sweet but at the same time it had the strength and aura which made it clear that it was not from a person who could be looked down upon or messed with , her face , eyes and body gestures only reinforced this conclusion .
Her father was proud even at the sight of his daughter and his eyes said it louder, " Okay" he said , he really wanted to give a big smile, take her in his arms and say how his eyes and heart beamed with happiness at her mere sight but he controlled himself ,he knew it was not the right time now, as it could distract her. He took his position to fight his daughter and she wasted no time in doing the same.
Both the pairs were so indulged in their respective duels, that they didn't notice the entry of Queen Gayathri into the arena, the queen stood aghast at the sight in front of her. The sight was something that she didn't want to see even in her nightmares, her son was attacking his brother and their daughter had raised her sword against her father.., No..
"Stop it" the four pairs of eyes turned to her.. "Maharaj Chitrangadha , is this how you train your children ..?? you should be teaching them to stay united and to raise their arms against a common enemy ... not against themselves.. "
The king didn't say anything but he had a pleasant smirk on his lips as he gestured the servants ..,eight of them came ,took the swords and gave a towel to each of the four royals ..,the queen waited for the servants to take their leave..
As soon as they left ,Prince Sagara broke the silence
"Maa , you could have waited a little longer , I was about to win the duel.. it is after trying so much that I finally found jyesht's weak point.. hadn't you interfered , I would have surely defeated jyesht but you spoiled everything..I know, jyest is your favourite, you don't want him to fall or me to win" he whinned, the queen's eyes widened and her jaws dropped ,while Sagara tried to fake an angry face and the others tried to hide their laughter .
"Is it ...?? Sagara do you think this as a good joke..?? and you three found this worth enough to laugh.. " said the queen twisting her son's left ear and narrowing her eyes at the other three.. " You know what, you would be cleaning your room yourself today, no help from anyone.. " she gave the punishment to her dramatic son. His pleas were cut short by her.
"You brought it to yourself..now no way out, suffer " His sister whispered in his ear.
Everyone know it is a tedious task to clean the big royal room of a prince."Now ,three of you, promise me that you won't raise your weapons against any of your family members nor support anyone who tries to do that.., now, what are you waiting for ..it's an order from your mother, do it"..,
The royal siblings stiffened , put their right hands forward and said in unison.. "We, the progeny of King Chitrangadha of Kalinga hereby promise our mother, Queen Gayathri devi that we neither will raise our weapons against any of our family members nor support or encourage anyone who tries to do that"
