"So, who do you like, Sorensen?"
Lennox froze the moment he heard a familiar voice. He slowed turned around and saw her, wearing the Gap jacket and Hush Puppies sneakers that he gave to her as a Christmas gift earlier. She was smiling. She looked vibrant that almost left him out of breath.
"Ayana..." He mentioned her name, confused. She's here, standing inside his home. Silang dalawa lang din sa mga oras na iyon. His parents and siblings are still inside the house and he doesn't know what they are even doing.
He just shook his head and grinned. Then he looked at her, "Do you really want to know?"
Ayana giggled, "I do. Noon ko pa gusto malaman, alimango," Then she gave him another warm smile.
Lennox chuckled lightly and took a deep breath, looking straightly into her eyes, "Well, she's in front of me, wearing the jacket and the sneakers that I gave. The headstrong student council president who loves to call me alimango, the one who loves to call my friends dirty rats, though dirty falcons could be acceptable."
Ayana widened her eyes at his remarks but managed to laugh it out lightly.
"That one girl who loves to eat halo-halo, that one girl who prefers wearing sneakers than heels, that one girl who's very outspoken and independent. She's also funny and kind. She might never realized it but she doesn't have to change anything about herself."
"Because to me, she's more than enough. And I really like her."
"I like her very much," He confessed, finally.
Ayana shook her head again but instead of saying anything, she immediately ran towards him, hugging him.
Natawa na lang si Lennox sa ginawa nito at niyakap ito pabalik.
Ayana buried her face into his chest, "Ang bagal mo. Alimango ka talaga as always."
Lennox chuckled, "I was just making it sure. You had a huge crush over my cousin. I can't compete with that."
Bumitaw naman si Ayana rito at tinaasan ito ng kilay, "Well, he isn't my crush anymore."
Lennox smirked at her, "So, who?"
Ayana playfully punched his chest, she looked annoyed, "Hindi kita pupuntahan sa inyo kung hindi ikaw ang bago kong crush no!"
"Kuya! Aalis na tayo in five minutes!" They both stopped when they heard Sadie, Lennox's younger sister, shouting from the house.
"Aalis na pala kayo..." Ayana uttered, rather looking disappointed.
"I think I'm going to stay here in the Philippines."
"Huh? Paano naman ang family mo?"
Lennox shrugged, "I've already spent a lot of Christmas time together with them."
"Now, I'd like to spend it with you."
