Ayana thanked the uber driver after helping her putting her baggages in the trunk of the car. It was already 11 in the morning and her flight is going to be at 4pm. Doon na lang muna siya magstestay sa airport habang hinihintay ang flight schedule niya.

"You're really leaving?" Napalingon naman siya sa likod niya at nakita si Eddie. Eddie Fowler has been their neighboor since she started living in New York. He was very much close to Lennox. He was the only friend that Lennox had during his stay in NY.

"Eddie," She smiled as she gave the guy a hug. Naguluhan naman ito sa ginawa niya, "Well, yeah... I already resigned my work at Vogue. There's no use for me in staying here longer anymore. Besides, I'm just living alone. Too much memories."

Napabuntong-hininga naman ito, "I miss  your boyfriend."

Napatigil naman siya at tinignan ito. Eddie rolled his eyes because of her reaction, "Not in a gay way, but I miss that dude. I mean, he's really a good guy. We always go for hunting trips then if you are busy with work, we just hang out together and watch Netflix or play games. That dude was chill."

Eddie then shrugged, "Now, I'm just alone. He was my only friend despite knowing I'm just a pathetic loser as what everyone says."

"Aw, Eddie, you're never a loser," She replied, feeling pity for the guy. Just like her, he was also living alone in his apartment.

"Well, I don't know, Lex is the only one who thinks I'm not," He sighed, "For a second, I really thought you guys were going to get married. Lex already told me beforehand that he already bought you a ring and was going to propose to you that night. I guess... it never happened."

Natahimik naman si Ayana matapos ang sinabi nito. Napakunot-noo naman siya, "W-What?" She almost couldn't breathe.

"Yeah," Eddie answered nonchalantly, "No offense, Ayana, but I suggested to Lex that he should think first before marrying you, just look what happened between me and my ex-wife - but bro, your boyfriend was determined. He still bought the ring and proposed."

"He didn't propose," She simply answered. She was starting to breathe heavily.

"W-What?"

She then realized something during that night, more than two years ago.

"Oh, god," She gasped and covered her mouth. She looked at Eddie.

"Eddie, you miss Lennox, right?"

"Huh? Well, yeah. But the dude is in New Zealand."

"Then come with me!" She immediately grabbed his hand and together, they went inside the uber car.

"Where are we even going?!"

Ayana smiled at him, "To alimango."

Lennox stopped pointing his rifle when Howard, one of his hunting mates called his attention. Actually there were four of them doing the deer hunting during that time. Sometimes, it has been his twice a month activity with his mates in the town.

Nilapitan naman sila ni Howard.

"I think something's moving at that bush," Howard told him, pointing at the bushes which were five meeters away from them. Dahan-dahan naman silang naglakad na apat papunta doon. The weather was cloudy and the air was humid.
