Lennox was just drinking a beer that he ordered at the counter, alone. His girlfriend, Ayana was happily talking with her other co-workers. He took a deep sigh as he sipped another drink. He felt really uncomfortable the whole night. To him, although Aya's co-workers looked nice, he just felt a different vibe with them underneath.

Before he could take another sip of his beer, may lumapit naman sa kanyang lalake. It was Ayana's other co-worker. If he remembered it correctly, the guy's name is Hunter Cromwell. The new lawyer of Vogue's legal office.

"Whiskey would be better," The guy suggested. Lennox shrugged.

"I like it mild," He replied dryly and took another sip of his beer.

"I guess, that's who you are," Hunter uttered and ordered a drink from the bartender, "I'm Hunter by the way, Vogue's lawyer."

Lennox just smirked and did not reply. Instead, he just stared at the glass he was holding.

"How long have you been dating Ayana?" Hunted suddenly asked him.

"Two years and counting," He simply answered.

"She told me you've been together since university years."

"Yeah and why are you asking?" Lennox then looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

Hunter chuckled at his reaction, "Chill. I just didn't expect she would last with a guy like you."

"What do you mean?" Lennox's eyebrows furrowed in disbelief.

"Well, I just don't think you're the man that she needs right now."

Hindi naman nakapagsalita si Lennox sa sinabi nito. Sa halip ay naikuyom na lang niya ang kamay niya.

For the whole night, he was trying to calm himself.

"And who does she need?" He asked Hunter.

Hunter grinned mockingly whom was three inchess shorter than him, "A guy probably who probably who's more than just a barista."

Lennox suddenly punched Hunter Cromwell so hard on the face that the man fell on the floor immediately. Everyone stopped at what they were doing and there were gasps all over at what he just did to him.

"Fucking asshole," He remarked. Napailing na lang siya rito at kaagad lumabas sa pub.

"What the hell, Lennox? Anong ginawa mo?" Ayana furiously said the moment they arrived at their apartment room. Lennox didn't look back as he took off his coat that he wore earlier.

After the incident, he immediately went home and Ayana followed.

"I don't fucking like your co-workers, Ayana," He simply answered without even glancing at her, "I don't like you mingling with them."

"What? Oh my god, Lennox! It doesn't mean na kailangan mong suntukin ang isa sa kanila! God, Lex! Ano na lang sasabihin nila tungkol sa 'kin? That I got a violent boyfriend--"

"Fuck, Ayana!" He yelled that it made her stop. Hinarap na rin ito ni Lennox,  "Don't you even fucking notice or even heard how your co-workers belittled me during that dinner party?! Fuck, I even heard your co-workers saying that I'm just a fucking Starbucks barista compared to you, an associate junior editor of Vogue! How fucking low your standards for staying with me?! Fuck! Even that fucking Nancy, your co-worker friend, who seems to be very vocal matchmaking you with that asshole lawyer?!"

Hindi naman nakapagsalita si Ayana matapos ang sinabi nito. Lennox's voice was obviously hurting and frustated.

Her eyes are now starting to swell.

"I fucking punched that guy because he told me you don't need a man like me. This is so fucking frustrating, Ayana. Life was so much better in the Philippines..."

Lennox then sat on the couch near him. He was breathing hard as he tried to calm down himself. Then he massaged his temples.

"I know and I'm so sorry," She started to sob, "I promise, after my one year of training here in Vogue, we'll go back to the Philippines... and we'll have it your way."
