"Lennox Sorensen."

Lennox stopped from his thoughts when someone called his name. He was already outside the Vogue's building in New York, waiting patiently for her girlfriend, Ayana Louise. Later, they're going to have a fancy dinner at their apartment and he's finally going to propose.

He looked up and saw a very familiar man. It was Ayana's co-worker, the lawyer of Vogue's legal office. Hunter Cromwell - in all black suit.

Lennox smirked at him. He really hates the man's guts and his audacity to act like almighty over him.

"Hunter Cromwell," He said his name. Nilapitan naman siya nito. The lawyer was also bringing a brief case on his other hand as if he just went to a court case.

"Oh, you still remember me?" He replied in amusement. Lennox shrugged.

"I like to remember names of the people who are assholes in disguise," He simply answered. Hunter seemed offended at what he just said but gave him a sly grin.

"Right..." Hunter Cromwell then fixed his tie, "You're waiting for Ayana?"

"Yeah," He answered again, simple and short, trying to ignore his presence.

"Are you still sure you're going to be together forever?"

Now, it was the time Lennox looked at the asshole lawyer again. This guy is getting on his nerves already.

The guy chuckled at his silence, "I'm not sure about that. I don't even think Ayana still wants you to be her boyfriend. She only pitied you because you've got nowhere to go. I mean, she wouldn't kiss me if she does."

Lennox's heart almost stopped beating after hearing the last sentence. Kinwelyuhan naman niya kaagad ito, "What the fuck?"

"If you're going to punch me again, ask your girlfriend first, Sorensen, you'll know the truth," He told him mockingly. Binitawan naman ito Lennox. Hunter fixed his tie again before giving him another triumphant smirk. Ilang segundo naman ay iniwan siya nito.

Ayana took her coat off as she went inside their apartment. It was unusual for Lennox not to answer her calls or messages. Nang matapos siya sa trabaho niya, she expected to see Lennox waiting outside of the Vogue building, pero paglabas niya, wala ito doon.

She kept calling him and texting him for his whereabouts. But all her calls went into his voicemails and he didn't even put on read her messages for him. She waited for two hours outside until she decided just to go home, hoping he was there.

For a minute, their apartment was dead silent. It was deafening and scary. Like she was all alone and... miserable.

Lennox is still not here.

Somehow, it made her nervous.

It was cold and quiet.

Maya-maya nakarinig naman siya ng mga halakhak galing sa labas ng apartment niya. It seemed there were two voices, a male and a female.

Nagulat na lang siya nang biglang bumukas ang pinto ng apartment nila. It was Lennox and a female stranger kissing each other, as if she wasn't there.
