~Chapter Two~

Technoblade
A sword wooshed right past Techno’s head. He jumped back, trying not to get hit. On the floor he could see his sword. He ducked to go to grab it as the sword almost hit him. As he grabbed a hold of his sword he stood up. In his back he felt a sharp pain.

Techno jolted awake in bed in a cold sweat. It was still dark but it was almost sunrise. As he got ready for the day a small bird flew by his window. By the time Techno was dressed and had cleaned up the little mess in his room, it was a few minutes before sunrise. He went outside in the yard as the dew on the grass wet his feet.

The sun rose over the trees and Techno smiled. He always tried to wake up early enough to see it. Seeing the sunrise always made him happy. It reminded him of being little. As he made his way back inside, he poured a glass of milk for himself. He went to his room and sat at his desk, reading Art of War for a little while. He soon heard a noise coming from the next room. Tommy must be up. He heard a knock at his door. “Come in,”. “Techno I’m going to go to town! I’ll be back in a little while!” Before he could reply, Tommy was out the door. He had always made sure to tell either him or Wilbur where he was going just in case their father needed him.

After about an hour, Techno got up and went for a walk. He had always tried to go on a walk but sometimes he didn’t have time. It was a little chilly so he grabbed his cloak and headed out. As he walked through the woods, he thought about that dream. It was more of a nightmare. He has had dreams like that before but they’ve never been that vivid. When he thought about it, he still felt pain in his back. He quickly shook the thoughts and memories from his mind as he made his way back home.

As he neared the house, he saw Tommy playing outside with some friends of his. A few of them noticed Techno and backed away a little but most didn’t care. As he walked in the door, he saw his brother, Wilbur, sitting at the table with his back to the door. “Mornin’” he said to him. He replied “Hello Techno,”. God he seemed exhausted. Techno sat down next to his brother.

He quickly became lost in his thoughts. Most were about his dream. Their father must have noticed as he asked Wilbur to go get Tommy instead of him. Once Wilbur had gone to get him Phil walked over to his son.

“Techno, are you ok? You seem upset,” He asked him in a low voice so Wilbur wouldn’t hear. “Yeah I’m fine” He went back over to the stove and flipped the last few pancakes as Tommy and Wilbur came back in.

Techno had three pancakes as he had been up for hours and hadn’t had anything to eat yet. Wilbur left after one pancake and Tommy ate two before taking some more and running back outside to his friends.

Once Techno had finished eating, he decided to go on another walk to try and clear his head. Afterwards he decided he would go into town. As he walked through the woods he heard some leaves crunching. Someone was near. With his hand on the handle of his sword and looked towards the noise.

He saw Wilbur walking through the woods with his guitar. “Where are you going Wilbur?” he asked. Wilbur seemed surprised. He stood there for a few seconds, just staring at him. Fed up with the silence, he asked again, “Well? Where ya going?” “I- uh,” Wilbur went silent again before looking down and replying “I was heading to the beach”

Their father was very vocal about how he did not want them going to the beach, especially alone, so why was Wilbur going? And why bring his guitar? Tehno asked why. Wilbur paused before saying “I don’t wanna talk about it,”. Techno jokingly responded “Ooooh are you meeting someone there?” He saw Wilbur’s eyes widen a little and his face go bright red. Techno continued “You are, aren’t you! What’s their name?”. He liked to tease his siblings, they knew it was all jokes. Wilbur looked up and tried to walk past him but he blocked the way. Once techno saw the look on his face, he immediately let him through as he muttered a sorry while walking back home.

By the time Techno got home from town, all of Tommy’s friends were gone, except one. He didn’t recognise them but he didn’t ask questions as he made himself a sandwich for dinner and went to his room. Today was a nice day.
