Once George and Dream had left the room I put the axes away. After that, I decide that its best to simply go back to the library. I decided on that because it would be a quiet place to think and there are plenty of books to use to get my mind off of things. I treaded through the halls hearing fractions of conversations through many doors. Making it to the library I didn't see any of the people I was currently dreading seeing.
Inside the library, I sighed in relief knowing that none of them would come inside this room. I browsed the isles until I found a comfy couch to sit on as I read a new book. "The Gift of Fear" was a book about fear and intuition. If this kingdom were to go to war, seeing the psychological side of it would benefit me in the long run.
I sat with the book and began reading it. A few hours into my reading I finished one of the chapters. I had noticed that I was about halfway through the book. I wanted to savor the book rather than speedrun it. I placed a velvety bookmark that had been provided in the book. I set the book on the side table next to an expensive lamp. I then stood to get another book.
Once again I found myself browsing the isles for a new piece of literature. I turn a corner and collide with someone. For a split second my vision turned a familiar violet shade and I was frozen mid-air until I was set back to a standing position. The purple left my vision as I processed the events. Then I spotted Techno standing in front of me, unaffected.
"Usually I don't see people around here. You seem to be the only intelligent creature around."
I furrow my eyebrows at him. He is a strange man. "I guess you could say that."
He leaned against the bookshelf and locked eyes with me. His eyes alone were too menacing and intimidating for me. It was difficult to hold eye contact with him. "Sooooooo, why are you always here?" I try to start a conversation.
"Let's cut the bullshit. And go straight to the chase," he knew something, "Something happened earlier. I know you've been crying."
He was so nonchalant about it. I was puzzled by his knowledge. How could he tell?
"It's not your business," I cross my arms, "Why would you care anyway?"
As he rolled his eyes at me I realized something. Since I had met all of these people I had changed a bit. I had become more relaxed and way less serious about life as a whole. The problem was that I was unsure of its connotations. Was it meant to be a positive or negative alteration? If only the answers could be told to me. They can't, so I need to continue on a mental journey towards my new self. Basically, I need to think about it a lot.
"You're living here," my mind becomes present in the conversation, "I wouldn't want to live with someone who's keeping secrets."
Though he had a point, I was reluctant to believe that it was valid. His words were riddled with what seemed to be careful, however, his tone presumed the opposite. He spoke in a monotone and his facial expression lacked emotion. How sad, he may be in ways similar to me.
"I hope you aren't planning on me spilling my guts to you," I tilt my head.
He shook his head, "I wasn't planning on it. I am glad that I found you though, Phil has asked everyone to meet once again."
After saying that he exited the room. I followed not too far behind. Entering the room, I could immediately see the DreamTeam grouped up. They all looked at me with varying degrees of hatred. George seemed to hate me most, Sapnap was clearly wavering in his trust, and Dream just looked kind of sad. He had known what he was getting into when we began sparring. The DreamTeam was a group of people who knew more than my sister. Well, at least about how I'm not human and most likely adopted.
I decided against speaking to them and instead went to sit at the table. To my surprise, no one had a problem with me sitting on the tabletop. We all waited patiently for Phil to arrive. Once he had arrived he began talking before anyone noticed that he was there.
"We are going to get them both," I held my breath as I listened, is he about to tell us all the truth?
"I lied. Tommy and Tubbo are both in grave danger and knowing where they are is only half the preparation we will need," Phil admitted all of his lies.
"What are you trying to say?" Techno cut into the silence, sharp as a blade.
A few seconds of silence were broken by Phil, "Prepare for travel... and prepare for battle."
Not a single soul misunderstood that line, we all dispersed on our ways to prepare. It only took mere moments for me to arrive at my room. Once there, I took out my prized armor that was impenetrable. Of course, it wasn't impenetrable, but so far it had lasted me the longest. I equipped the armor and filled a bag with food and clothes, in another bag I put all the weapons within proximity. Once I had filed through all that I had, I finally left my room. Satisfied with all of my gear I met everyone at the back exit.
"Is everyone ready to go?" Technoblade asked.
Being the blood god, all of his gear was very neet and shiny. Well, most of his weapons were shiny. Some of them had concerning amounts of dried blood, forming coats on them. We all gave certain degrees of confirmation to him before we began loading up the three carriages. I hadn't realized until we were all preparing to enter the carriages, what the arrangement actually was. It was Phil, Wilbur, Techno, and Dream in one car with the rest of us in the other. They were most likely talking plans.
As I entered the carriage I knew that this was going to be one long and awkward ride. Sapnap refused to acknowledge my existence, while George did the exact opposite by glaring at me. Despite the tenseness in the carriage Nikki seemed not to notice. She sparked a conversation with anyone that would talk to her. She was able to distract both George and Sapnap from the earlier event.
It was almost as if she hadn't a clue of what we were preparing for. How could she be so lighthearted and calm? We could possibly be going into a war. But we were surely...
Going into Battle.
+I haven't updated this in a while for reasons I will not be disclosed, but IF anyone is actually reading this, thank you and I hope you have a nice day. :)+
