“There once was a bittersweet man and they called him, "Lemon Boy"
He was growing in my garden and I pulled him out by his hair like a weed
And like weeds do he only came and grew back again
So, I figured this time I might as well let him be”

Y/N found Tommy at school. Everyone called him an ‘asshole’. Y/N didn't àthink that. He really never warmed up on her.

“Lemon Boy and me started to get along together
I helped him plant his seeds
And we'd mow the lawn in bad weather
It's actually pretty easy being nice to a bitter boy like him
So, I got myself a citrus friend”

He began to be nicer. He actually called me his friend. We'd plant his seeds, now his lawn. He was easy to talk to easy to talk to. I've gotten myself a friend.

“But soon his bittersweet started to rub off on me
You'd think smelling like lemon zest would be pretty neat
I found out that my friends are more of the savory type
And they weren't too keen on compromising with a nice lemon pie”

My friends said I began being rude and and asshole like Tommy. The were more chill, where now, I was always laughing and yelling. They weren't my friends anymore.

“So Lemon Boy and me, we just gotta get along together
I helped him plant his seeds
And we'll mow the lawn in bad weather

We were always next to each other. I helped him plant, we would now the lawn. It was easy being such a bitter boy's friend.

“But what if I run out of fertilizer?
What if the clouds run out of rain?
What if Lemon Boy won't grow no longer?
What if beaches dry of sugar cane?
Oh well”

Everything was good until Tommy got very sick. Y/N made every possible helping need she could. She watered him every day, used new fertilizer.

Lemon boy Tommy became better. Y/N was so proud of lemon boy.

“Lemon Boy and I, we're gonna live forever
Like Snufkin and little my, we'll get around wherever

Me and lemon boy were living together, no doubt.
