HINATA'S POV:
I paced back and forth in my room, ignoring my packed suitcase and the buzzing of my phone.
I had sex. I got drunk for the first time. He said he loved me.
Oh god he said he loves me.
I pulled at my hair and let out a frustrated groan. "What does that mean?!"
Did he mean it? Was he just caught up in the moment? What now? Should I talk to him about are relationship? Does he plan to leave what we had in Tokyo? So many questions!
I reached for my phone and checked why it was blowing up. It was the team group chat. Daichi had just announced what the next bonding experience will be a sleepover at Suga's house. He asked when everyone could attend and the date decided on was in four days.
I looked at my phone and dialed Kageyama's number without giving myself a chance to reconsider.
Ring. Ring. Ri—
"What's up?" I heard from the other end of the phone.
"Hey! Um, nothing much... what about you?" I panicked.
"Same. Why did you call?"
I didn't know how to respond. "Uh, I don't know, I just wanted to talk with you. I miss yo- I mean you know." I tried not to come off as clingy, but I also wanted to test the waters a bit.
"Do you want to come over?"
My face heated up and my voice shook as I spoke, "Yeah sounds great! See you in a second!"
I flew down the stairs and got on my bike in record time despite me barely being able to walk a couple hours ago. His house was a couple miles away, maybe a 15 minute bike ride. I appreciated the cool air hitting my face as I petalled, cooling down my blush. My nose burned as I inhaled the breeze, filling my lungs up with the fresh autumn wind. I was cold as I rode without a jacket, but it's icy feel exhilarated me. Fall was slowly turning into winter. There were more leaves on the ground than on the trees and the shops nearby had begun decorating for Christmas. I hoped to decorate with Mom and Natsu soon. My mind traveled to the first time I saw the setter's house. I remembered what he had said about his mom not being attached to him.
I wonder if he's ever celebrated Christmas before.
I had gotten to the house and parked my bike. I walked up the pathway and knocked on the door just like I had done the first time I ever visited. After a few seconds of waiting, the door creaked open and showed Kageyama. He had on a black sweater and sweatpants, his hands tucked in his pockets.
"Hey." I said with a smile. As I spoke a breath of smoke appeared in front of me.
Is it really that cold?!
"What are you doing with a short sleeve shirt on dumbass it's freezing outside!" He scolded.
I laughed. "What do you mean? It feels great!" He pulled me in by the collar and quickly closed the door.
"You'll catch a cold." He pulled me into a hug as we stood by the base of the stairs. Even though I had seen him this morning, I had missed him so much.
"So, um, did your mom see your neck?" He stuttered.
"Hm? Oh the hickeys? Nah she hasn't been home yet and Natsu's at school."
A wave of relief washed over him as he relaxed. "Good, I didn't want you to get in trouble or anything."
"Awe you care!"
"Whatever dumbass, do you want to go pepper the volleyball at the park?"
I smiled and nodded my head.
"Well I guess you're gonna have to borrow more clothes from me." He sighed, but he fought back a grin as he spoke. He went upstairs and came back with a hoodie and a volleyball.
I need to ask him about what he said, but I guess I'll try to ease it into conversation.
"Alright, let's go."

KAGEYAMA'S POV:
We reached the park and set our things down. Being with Hinata for four days then coming back to my empty house was polar opposite experiences to say the least. Even if he didn't know it, him calling meant the world to me.
He's pretty loud, but the silence is 100 times louder.
We began peppering the ball between each other as the ginger spoke. "Do you celebrate Christmas?"
I though about the question. "I guess. I'm not religious or anything but the idea of Santa is pretty cool."
"So when are you going to start decorating?" He asked.
"What do you mean? Good recieve." I spoke as I softly spiked the ball down onto Hinata's platform.
"Thanks! And I mean like when are you going to put lights up around your house, and get a Christmas tree, and hang stockings, all that jaz."
I hesitated with my response. "My family hasn't really done all that in a long time. I'll probably just walk around at night on Christmas and look at the lights on other people's houses."
At this Hinata grabbed the live volleyball and looked at me. "Will your family be in town?"
I shook my head. "Probably not."
He smiled. "Then why don't you spend Christmas with me!"
My eyes widened as my heart burst. I looked away, clearly flustered. "Calm down it's still autumn! Plus I could never intrude on your family like that!"
I turned back to see Hinata walking towards me. He grabbed my hands and squeezed. "You could never intrude."
I sighed. "You're adorable."
He shifted and spoke softly. "Hey Kags? About what you said when we were, um, yeah. And you said it another time when you thought I couldn't hear you, but, I could."
I knew what he was talking about.
"What about it?"
"We'll, do you mean it? Did you just say it in the moment? Be honest." He looked at the ground. I once again pulled him into a hug, smothering him into me as I looked up at the sky.
"Of course I mean it."
Hey guys! Hope you liked the chapter. Tell me if you like the whole "catching a cold" clique cause honestly I love it but I know it's wayyyy overused. See you all soon!
