KAGEYAMA'S POV:

We leave for the Tokyo trip tomorrow.

I continued to restate the sentence over and over in my head, hoping it would bring me motivation to pack and prepare. It was a 3 and a half hour bus ride; On a budget-friendly bus to a budget-friendly room in a budget-friendly hotel. That was the nice word for our expenses, and what Daichi drilled into our heads. The truth was that tomorrow at 4 in the morning we were to get on a cramped, dirty school bus and ride to a chain-company hotel with tiny rooms that we would probably have to share. None-the-less, I was excited. I had always wanted to explore Tokyo, especially when I was younger. The idea of being somewhere other than my house enraptured me. Being in neon-lit streets instead of an empty house with no one but your thoughts.

Before I could continue my pity party, my phone began buzzing. I looked at the caller ID:

Incoming call from: Tangarine

I answered.

"Hey Kags are you home?"

I flinched and my stomach flipped at the nickname.

"Why?"

"Could I sleep with you?"

Did I hear that correctly?

"W-what?! Dumbass!" I stuttered out, flustered and in panic.

"You heard me correctly, do you want to have a sleepover?"

I stared at my phone and let out a sigh of relief, "Those two mean COMPLETELY different things Hinata."

HINATA'S POV:

I checked off the last box in my mental packing list preparing me for Tokyo. I zipped up my travel bag, chucked it onto my bed, and walked out of my room, making my way to the kitchen.

"Shouyou, do you have everything ready for the early trip tomorrow?" My mom asked as she attempted to carry hot soup, water, bread, and a stuffed animal into my sisters room.

"Here mom hand me the water and toy," I offered, taking them out of her hand.

"Thanks hun, Natsu hasn't been feeli-" My mom was interrupted by a high pitched shout that mustered out between sobs.

"SHHHHOUUUUYOOOUUU!" Sniffling and sobs occurred before the next sudden outburst. "WHERE'S M-MY BROTHERRR!"

I walked behind my mom into my younger sister's room, her tear-stained pale face covered by her pillow.

"Hey sis! I'm right here." I tried to comfort her as I leaned down and pet her hair. She immediately jumped up and wrapped her little arms around my neck, crying into my shirt and almost making me drop the water. I held her with one arm and the drink in the other, trying to calm her down.

"I-I-I-I-"

"Shhhh, deep breaths, deep breaths."

She followed my orders and restarted her sentence.

"I'm sick."

I placed the back of my hand onto her forehead, feeling it's rising temperature.

"Just a little. Look I brought you Chirpy!" I held up the stuffed animal. It was a round, black bird with little orange hairs glued to the top. She immediately let go of my neck and embraced the bird.

"Sweetie, you have to eat something. Mommy brought you soup. It's the one you always love when I make. Come on, open up."

As my mom sweet-talked my sister, I got up and headed for the doorway.

"Shouyiee, d-don't goooo" Natsu whined as her voice began to get louder again. I heard my mom sigh and drop the spoon back into the bowl. I turned around and walked over to my mother.

"I got her, you can go." I grabbed the bread and soup from her, taking her place kneeled next to my sisters bed.

"Bless you," she bowed and walked out of the room.

"Ok Natsu, it's just you and me." I said with a fake competitive tone. She grinned and furrowed her eyebrows, getting competitive as well.

This always seems to work.

"If you can drink all that water before I can do 100 sit ups, I'll sneak you a mochi. But if you can't, I get to bring Chirpy with me to Tokyo." She grabbed the water from her nightstand.

"You're on."

~~~~~
After Natsu had finished eating and had fallen asleep, I left her room, turning her lights off and closing the door quietly behind me. I made my way to the living room and collapsed onto the couch.
"Good job Shouyou, I owe you one." It was my mother's voice as she came and sat on the chair opposite of me. "I know you just did me a huge favour, but can I ask you for another?"
"What's up?"
"Could you find a friend to stay with tonight? I don't want her waking up at 3:30 in the morning when you leave. Could you stay with Tobio?"
I was surprised to hear my mom mention him. "Kageyama? Yeah I guess I could ask. He probably wouldn't mind."
My mom chuckled at this. "You're right he probably wouldn't. I'd like to meet this boy, you talk an awful lot about him."
I stared at my mom in confusion. "I, don't talk about him THAT much. He just always seems to fit into our conversations..."
"Correction, YOU seem to fit him into our conversations. You managed to bring him up last night from our debate about American pop tarts!" My mom laughed.
I stared at my mom horrified. Was she suggesting something?! What was she accusing me of?! She saw my expression and quieted her laughter into a small smile.
"I'm messing with you, I know you both are just good friends. Try to see if you can stay the night there tonight please so your sister doesn't see you leaving and throw a fit."
"Okay, I'll call him right now." I walked over to my room and selected his contact:
Kageyama
One ring. Two rings. Three rings. At the lack of a fourth ring, I spoke.
"Hey Kags are you home?"
A pause and "Why?" followed.
"Could I sleep with you?" I asked.
Another long pause, this time followed with "W-What?! Dumbass!" I wondered if he didn't hear me right.
"You heard me correctly, do you want to have a sleepover?"
I heard a sigh. "Those two mean COMPLETELY different things Hinata."
They do? Huh I never knew that.
"My sister is sick and I don't want to wake her when I leave early in the morning, can I stay at your place?"
Silence.
"Yeah sure that's fine."
