DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT CONDONE UNDERAGE DRINKING

KAGEYAMA'S POV:

I leaned on the elevator's metal walls, breathing in and holding my stomach.
"I'm so full!" Came the voice next to me, mimicking my position. As Hinata and I rode it to our floor, the only conversation between us was our soft groans from the pain of our stomachs filled to capacity. The dinner was super fun, we all had a great time. It consisted of Italian food, conversations, and the waitress giving her number to Daichi. I ate so much food it could have been considered torture.

We walked into our pitch black hotel room, turning on the overhead hallway light. I walked over to the large window and moved the curtains to the side, letting my side fall against the glass. I once again took in the nighttime view and thought of the lives walking the streets of Tokyo; how many there were, and how complex each life was. I took in a deep breath and let it out, a circle of fog forming in front of me.

My problems are so insignificant, I don't have a right to pity myself over them.

"I'm stuffed! That was the best dinner of my life!" The ginger chirped, pivoting on one foot as he said it. He energetically walked over to me, hands in pockets and a smile on his face. He looked older right now, his mature completion from his attire masking the fact that he was only 16, yet his actions copying those of a 10 year old. He had untucked his shirt and ruffled his own hair, pieces of it hanging over his eyes. The rest of him was exposed to the artificial light coming through the window, illuminating the angles in his face. If he was taller he could have passed as a young man in his 20s.

I snapped out of my thoughts and began unbuttoning my shirt, getting ready for bed. Hinata stopped walking towards me and stared.

"What do you want dumbass?" I said.

He continued to not speak, his brows furrowed as if he was thinking about my question.

"Hey, answer me!" I snapped.

He mumbled something incomprehensible.

"I can't hear you."

Me looked away from me. No matter what he looked like, he was still a boy, like me. An ignorant, clueless boy. That became clear as he spoke, "I don't know, I'm trying to to figure that out."

My harsh temper seemed to shake him as he turned around to walk away from me. I knew how he felt, I could almost sympathize with it. I was in the same position.

"Wait." I said in a soft tone. I felt bad for snapping at him. He turned back towards me as I lightly grabbed his upper arms, inching towards him. I placed my hand under his chin, lifting it up and letting the softness of my touch startle him. Closing the gap between us, I gave him a single, passionate kiss. As our mouths left each other's, I wrapped my arms around him and held him to my chest, my face buried in his hair, his pushing into my chest. We stayed there for a while, holding each other and trying to silently understand. Understand what the fuck was going on between us. Finally, we pulled away and continued to get ready for bed individually. It wasn't anything big, just one kiss and a hug.

Then why did it feel so good?

The next day was our last full day in Tokyo. The trip was a success, something I could finally cross off my childhood bucket list. The day went by fast as evening rolled around. I sat next to Hinata in his bed, scrolling through volleyball videos when he got a call from Bokuto.

"Hey what's up! Yeah me and Kageyama are going and I think Noya and Tanaka are too."

He covered the phone with his hand and spoke to me. "They want to know if we want to ride with them." I shrugged and went back to my phone.
