As Xavi stepped up the porch stairs, she could hear kids screaming and playing, dogs barking, old heads playing their radio.

She knocked on the screen door twice before hearing that familiar voice.

"Who the hell at my door!" Xavi heard her say.

"It's me grandma." Xavi said before she heard the locks. Xavi could see her grandma Sharon peaking through the door, surprised to see her favorite grand daughter.

Sharon opened the door, pulling Xavi in for a hug.

"I missed you so much! Why don't you come and visit me anymore?" Sharon asked as she invited Xavi inside and lead her to the kitchen.

"Just been busy." Xavi shrugged. Xavi was told by her parents to not see her grandma a while back and she never knew why. Xavi was closer to her grandma then anything.

"How's your parents." Sharon asked, slightly rolling her eyes at the thought of them.

"Their good. I guess them yelling at me keeps them going." Xavi said and Sharon shook her head.

"So how's Miles and them?" Sharon asked, pouring her and Xavi a glass of tea.

"Miles good but the other three, I don't mess with them." Xavi said waving her hand in a direction as if they were there.

"That's good. Them three are exactly like their mother. I don't know what it is but something is gonna bite them in the ass. And not to be harsh, but Shane and Shantel doesn't have long to go." Sharon said.

What her grandma had said made Xavi wonder.

"When was the last time I seen you? You look so grown up." Sharon said seeing that Xavi was in deep thought about what she had said.

"Last time you seen me, I was 17. I'm 21." Xavi said and Sharon shook her head.

"They told you to stay away from me didn't they." Sharon said, squinting her eyes at Xavi.

"Sadly." Xavi said. No matter what, Xavi and her grandma were tied together. Xavi told her grandma everything for advice or love in return.

"That damn Shantel." Sharon spoke.

"When was the last time you talked to mama?" Xavi asked.

"I don't talk to that disrespectful heffa. She's too much like her damn father. You would think me being her mother, putting a roof over her head, food in her stomach while her father had sex with other woman, she would respect me. She doesn't." Sharon said with her hand on her hip.
