Xavi stood in Dave's kitchen, stirring the pot of what was once white powder. She'd been cooking up all the kilo's for hours and she yawned for the thousandth time.
She heard her phone ringing making her grab it off the marble counters. She answered, holding the phone up to her ear.
"Yes miles." She said before she heard her brother chuckle.
"How was it?" He asked her and she raised a brow.
"How was what?" She asked, confused on what he was talking about, especially with him being out of town.
"The mission girl." Miles said in a duh tone. She wanted to question him but didn't do so.
"It went straight." She shrugged her shoulders.
"Well, I come back in two days. Imma stop by because I wanna talk to you." He said and Xavi nodded.
"Okay. Love you." She said.
"Love you too." The phone call between the two ended and she heard a throat clear. She jumped slightly, turning around to see Dave standing in the doorway.
"Not so big I see." He said with a low chuckle and she gave him a fake smile. Xavi knew what she was doing by being mean to him. She was pushing him away because she didn't want to get close.
"Why you gotta be so mean?" He asked, taking a seat at the bar. Xavi shrugged her shoulders, not giving him any eye contact.
"So you don't know why your mean to me?" Dave asked.
"I do. Just not telling you." Xavi said and Dave shook his head.
"If your tired, I can finish." He said and Xavi turned around, willing to give up her task for some sleep.
"For real?" She asked him.
"Nope." He said popping the P. Xavi smacked her lips, mugging him and rolling her eyes.
"Don't talk to me anymore." She said and he laughed.
"It's just a joke ma. I got you. You go get you some sleep." He said and a smile etched onto Xavi's face before she skipped away. Dave shook his head with a small chuckle.
Xavi sat on the couch, seeing Lucky already sound asleep. She checked the time on her phone that read 3:12 A.M. Xavi sighed, laying her head down. As soon as she closed her eyes, she was fast asleep.
"I'M HOME BABY!" Dave heard from downstairs. He immediately sat up, checking the time on his digital clock that sat beside him. 6:57 A.M.
Dave cursed under his breath before he heard Erica again.
"What the fuck!" Erica yelled before Dave jogged down the stairs. He saw Xavi slowly waking up from her sleep.
"Look baby, it ain't what it look like." Dave said trying to grab Erica's hands.
"Don't touch me Dave! What the fuck is she doing on my couch?" Erica asked. Dave raised a brow at her choice of words because last time Dave checked, everything in his apartment, he paid for.
"Calm down Erica. We just do business together." Dave said as Xavi sat up, yawning. Her eyes shot to Erica before they landed on Dave.
Xavi recognized Erica but she couldn't put a finger on where she knew her from.
"You expect me to believe that y'all just do business?! Dave do you think I'm stupid! First y'all fuck, now she here when I'm gone!" Erica said, surprising the two on how she knew that information that only they knew.
"What?" Dave asked and Erica scoffed, folding her arms.
"Fuck you Dave! And you!" Erica pointed towards Xavi. Xavi did a low chuckle, wanting Erica to try her.
"Look, Calm down. We can talk about this." Dave said and Erica shook her head, pushing Dave.
"Get her the fuck out!" Erica shouted at him and he clenched his jaw.
Xavi got up, gathering her things before she pushed past Erica.
"Erica sit down." Dave spoke calmly. He was trying his hardest not to flash out on Erica but with her bitching him around, it was hard.
Erica stood in the same spot, yelling about Xavi being there. Xavi came out the kitchen, giving Erica a glare and Erica chuckled, taking off her heels.
"What bitch!" Erica said, launching towards Xavi. Xavi's items fell to the floor as she got ready to swing on Erica but Dave caught Erica before she could get any closer to Xavi.
"Xavi leave. I'll call you." Dave said and Xavi picked up her things, slipping out the door. Dave wasn't saving Xavi, he was saving Erica.

Dave sat on the bed as he watched Erica pack her clothes. Dave wasn't stopping her because if she wanted to leave, the door was downstairs, unlocked at that.
"Dave, I don't know why you think I'm some fool." Erica said as Dave re-lit his blunt. Dave had a headache growing in his head from all the yelling she did an hour ago.
He chose to ignore her and let her talk to herself. Erica seen the unsatisfied look on his face and she chuckled in disappointment.
"I can't believe you. Don't call me, text me, none of that." Erica said, zipping up her suit case. Dave's eyes hung low and the buzz he had from his blunt was making his headache slightly go away.
Erica walked to the doorway of the bedroom, not before taking one last glance at Dave. Dave was complete out of it due to him being annoyed with her and her foolish actions.
Erica shook her head, walking downstairs and later, Dave heard the front door slam.
After 20 minutes of chilling in his bed, his phone rang. He looked to the side of him, seeing his phone move around from the vibrations.
Jay's name ran cross his screen making him pick it up and answer before he held the phone up to his ear.
"Wassup." Dave said, hearing loud yelling on the other end.
"Yo B, they got some real nice shit up here. You need to come take a look." Jay said.
"Come take a look at what?" Dave asked with a brow raised.
"You know how you said you wanted your own restaurant? Well, I know a guy that know a guy and he willing to hook you up." Jay said and Dave was on his feet.
He'd been wanting to have his own business and having that was something he always dreamed off since he was a child.
When he was little, he watched his mom and dad work hard and break their backs at their lil food joint back in the day. He always told hisself that he'll be the same way.
He knew once his parents grew older, he would have to take care of them but time for them were cut short after there was a robbery gone wrong. Dave didn't really like talking about the death of his parents.
It wasn't a touchy subject, it was just something he didn't like talking or thinking about.
"Say no more. I'm on my way. Give me like 20 minutes." Dave said as he went inside the bathroom to get ready.
