Xavi slept peacefully in her bed before she heard knocking on her door. She groaned, covering her face with a pillow. She ignored the door, thinking it was just the mail kid but she was incorrect when she heard Lucky yelling her name.
Xavi removed the pillow and she sprang out of bed, slipping on her house shoes and a robe since she had nothing but panties and a bra on. She walked out her bedroom and opened the door seeing Lucky holding Waffle House.
"Hey best friend!" Lucky smiled as she came in and Xavi closed the door behind her and followed her into the kitchen. Lucky took the containers out of the bag, pushing one to Xavi.
"What's this for?" Xavi asked.
"Nothing. I just thought you were up and hungry." Lucky shrugged and Xavi smiled, mouthing "Thank You". She sat in the stool as she ate but she ate in quietness. Lucky watched her the whole time and she seen that Xavi was hiding something.
"You okay?" Lucky asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking..." Xavi wasn't trying to go into detail because she knew how Lucky could get when Xavi talked about her mom.
"Thinking about what? Talk to me girl. I ain't seen you in weeks with you being busy all the damn time." Lucky said and Xavi slightly rolled her eyes. If Xavi could stop working for her family, she would but that's how she made her money.
"Well...." Xavi trailed off and Lucky gave her a look, not looking satisfied with Xavi and her tone of voice. Lucky had a feeling something was up and she was desperately wanting to know.
"What is it?" Lucky asked.
"It's about my mom. She apologized for all the shit she's done to me." Xavi said, shrugging her shoulders as Lucky stared at her blankly. Lucky had a lot of things she wanted to say because as long as Lucky has known Xavi, she has never trusted Shantel and the news about her apologizing was something Lucky thought was a joke.
"I don't think you should trust her." Lucky said taking a bite out of her food. Xavi sighed, knowing that it was gonna be hard getting through to Lucky but at the same time, Xavi didn't blame her.
Shantel was someone you couldn't trust. But with that being Xavi's mother, she had to build that with her if they made it to that point.
As they continued to talk, the sound of knocking filled the two's ears. Xavi looked at Lucky and Lucky shrugged, grabbing her food and going into the living room.
Xavi wasn't expecting anyone but she did think it was just Miles. She looked through the peephole, very mistaken at who stood on the other side.
She unlocked her door before she cracked it open, looking through. She stared Dave from head to toe, her hormones becoming very active.
"You gon let me in or you just gonna stare?" He asked her. Xavi snapped out of her lustful phase and she let him in. Dave was dressed in a all black Dickie's outfit with black and blue custom made timberland's that had East on them.
Fresh neat braids, a nice line up around his beard and mustache. Just to top it off, a North Carolina Hat.
"Wasn't expecting company today." Xavi said, closing the door behind him. Dave looked around before he turned around, looking at Xavi who was dressed in a dark purple silk robe.
Dave noticed himself staring a little too hard and he cleared his throat, snapping hisself out of his lustful thinking.
"Who sent you? Let me guess, Miles." Xavi said as she leaned on her counter.
"You guessed right shordy." He said and Xavi folded her lips, playing with her fingernails.
"Well what can I do for you?" Xavi asked and he rubbed his hands together before Lucky came in until she stopped in her tracks. Lucky looked between Dave and Xavi and Xavi stared at her blankly.
Lucky's awkward face then switched to a smirk. Xavi gave her a glare because she knew how Lucky was. Lucky was a person that was quick to assume.
"Don't mind her." Xavi said to Dave and he shook his head as Lucky threw away her trash. She turned on her heels, getting ready to leave Dave and Xavi to talk until Dave spoke.
"She good. We gon need her." Dave said, sizing Lucky up but he left Xavi and a lucky herself confused.
Xavi knew Lucky wasn't into what she did so she was unsure why Dave needed her with what they were about to do. Everything their parents did in the cartel was dangerous and wasn't for a girl like Lucky.
"No No No. You gotta be kidding." Xavi sat up, not as comfortable as she was before. Dave looked between them, not understanding what the problem was since he didn't know Lucky like that.
"What? We're gonna need her." Dave said and Xavi's eyes met Lucky's once again. Even though Lucky didn't want to do it, she always wanted to experience the gang world although it wasn't for her.
She was willing to do anything for Xavi. Now Xavi, she didn't want Lucky having no parts even though Lucky was good with a lot of things, like stealing, seductive talk.
Lucky could really come in handy but the thought of loosing her just didn't sit right with Xavi.
"We can't use her." Xavi spat out and Dave chuckled, standing to his feet. He hovered over Xavi staring down at her with a smirk.
"It ain't up to you. It's up to her." Dave said and Xavi rolled her eyes, crossing her arms, looking at Lucky because it was up to her.
"Lucky, I'm not making you do it. You don't have to do whatever he got planned." Xavi said in all seriousness and Xavi could see that Lucky was in deep thought.
Lucky debated with herself for a while and Dave was starting to become impatient and on the other hand, Xavi was getting ready to close down the whole situation.
"What I gotta do?"
