(A/N): First update of 2021! Overdue for an update but this is a pretty long chapter so please excuse me?

Annabeth's POV:

Annabeth flipped the last guard over her shoulder, knocking them out cold. Standing up, she began to reach for the rope when the earthquake lady offered her a hand.

"We don't have time, I can get us up faster." she commanded.

Annabeth clenched Riptide tightly, studying the lady. Part of her was wary to go with her. She was starting to regret taking this job but Percy was already up there.

"Daisy. Daisy Johnson." she continued, sensing Annabeth's hesitation.

"Annabeth."

"Cool sword. Nice to meet you. Let's get out of here?" Daisy asked, gesturing to her back.

Annabeth shrugged. "Why not? I think we overstayed our welcome a little bit."

Daisy grinned and Annabeth hoisted herself on her back in one swift motion. Daisy then launched herself into the air. They flew by Coulson, who was almost up the rope. They tumbled into the back of the jet and Annabeth hopped off. She scanned her surroundings and was impressed. They had landed in a garage like part of the jet. A bright red car was parked tot he side and spiraling staircase led to an upper floor with a few doors. Her vision tunneled when she saw Percy leaning the wall, squirming in his straitjacket. She wanted to leap back down into the building and slice Daniel Whitehall's throat for putting him in that stupid thing.

Keeping herself from running to him, she made her way over to his side.

"Hey Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth said.

"Wise girl! You're okay!" Percy replied, his eyes lighting up as he looked her up and down. When he was satisfied she was going to be okay, his shoulders relaxed and he grinned.

"Need some help?" Annabeth asked, lifting Riptide up.

"Please." Percy said, turning around so she could reach the buckles of the jacket.

Annabeth sliced through them, quickly and Percy shoved the jacket off.

"I hated that." Percy exclaimed, kicking the jacket further away.

Annabeth grunted in agreement.

"We are going to have a talk about you stealing Riptide." Percy said, turning to her with a grin.

Annabeth smiled and nodded back mockingly. "Is someone upset?"

"Try jealous." he replied, moving closer to her.

"Is that right?" she replied, moving closer.

"Can I have my sword back now?" Percy asked with a smirk, moving to kiss her.

"Maybe-" Annabeth started.

Suddenly, Daisy's voice cut through their banter.

"Who are the newbies?" she asked.

Annabeth and Percy sprung apart. Annabeth stifled a giggle as Percy, red in the face, waved and awkward hello. Annabeth capped Riptide and slipped it in her pocket, knowing it would return to Percy soon enough.

"Annabeth Chase. It's nice to meet you finally. " she said.

"Percy Jackson." Percy echoed after her.

"Nice to meet you both. I'm Mack and this is Daisy. Welcome to the Quinjet." Mack said, offering a hand to Annabeth.

"Annabeth and Percy are our new recruits," Coulson explained as Annabeth and Percy shook Mack's hand. "Someone should give them a tour and get Simmons to look them over."
