Chapter 3: Recovery

Previously on the trio

Hope then quickly pounced back onto the beast and twisted it's neck which killed it .

Hope then transformed back to herself and there was blood everywhere ...

Hope then carried Josie back to the Salvatore boarding school...

Josie was having flashbacks of the fight, she was laying on bed turning her head , she had a look of fear on her face till she screamed and woke up from a nightmare.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Are you okay?" Hope said with worry.

"Y-yea , I'm fine.." Josie said while putting her hand on her head.

"What happened...?" Josie said weakly.

"We encountered a beast when we were at the cliff , do you remember?" Hope said.

Josie saw her hand bandaged and touched it.

"Ouch! What happened to my hand?" Josie said looking confused at hope.

"I'm sorry.. I couldn't protect you from the beast... The beast hurt your hand when it knocked me out.." Hope said with guilt.

"Omg! Are you okay? Did you hurt yourself?" Josie said.

Hope told Josie she was okay and told her to rest. Hope laid Josie back down on the bed and stood up.

Hope turned around about to leave when Josie caught her hand and asked her to stay with her..

Hope turned around and looked at Josie , Josie was using her puppy eyes to make hope stay...

Hope smiled and sat down beside Josie and told her , I'll be here , you should rest. Josie smiled and closed her eyes to sleep.

*The next morning

Josie woke up to see Lizzie beside her.

"Hey, what are you doing here? Where's Hope?" Josie asked.

"Hope went to get water , she asked me to stay with you incase you woke up or if anything happened." Lizzie said.

Josie slowly sat up with Lizzie's help.

Hope opened the door and saw Josie up on the bed. She quickly ran towards Josie to ask if she was okay.

"I like you hope..." Josie whispered.

"Did you say you like me?" Hope asked curiously.

"N- No..." Josie reluctantly said.

Josie ran out of the room from embarrassment.She went to hide in the bathroom, to calm herself down.

Josie thought to herself." Oh no! Did I say that out loud? What do I do ? Omg I'm so embarrassed!!"

Josie suddenly felt a burning sensation on her arm , she felt like it was going to kill her.

"AHHH! What's wrong with me..., Why is this so painful!" Josie shouted to herself.

Josie stood up and felt dizzy, it was like her whole world was spinning, Josie opened the door and looked at Hope.

"Josie... Are you okay ? Josie?" Hope said.

Josie fell to the ground and hit her head onto the cabinet. Her head was bleeding as she looked at hope running to her.

Hope lifted Josie's head and said " Hey! Josie.. are you okay? Josie.. come on... , Lizzie go get your dad , ask for help! Josie , you're gonna be okay. You're gonna be okay..."

Lizzie ran out of the room to get her dad.

Hope took some gauze and pressed it on Josie's head to stop the bleeding.

Alaric saltzman came in the room and carefully carried Josie back up onto the bed. He then slowly help Josie stop the bleeding on her head.

*A few hours later

Josie woke up and saw Hope beside her bed , Hope's hand was on Josie. Josie smiled when she saw Hope stay by her side.

Josie then kissed Hope's hand. Just then Hope woke up and saw Josie awake.

"Hey... Are you awake? How do you feel , does your head hurt?" Hope asked.

"Y-yea I'm fine , what happened to me?" Josie said nervously.

"Apparently, your injured arm still contained some poison from the beast , that's why you felt lightheaded and passed out. But we helped you remove it already , so you should be fine now." Hope said.
