Chapter 16:Fight

Previously on the trio

Josie siphoned the barrier spell away and went in as she put up another one containing now the monster and her inside. Josie stood five metres away from the monster as she threw a fire spell at the monster agitating it. It was not scared of fire. Josie then threw a water spell at the monster , where it burns it . A weakness! Josie looked over to Skye and shouted " it's scared of water-" Before she could finish her sentence , the monster threw it's fist at her causing her to fly to the wall knocked out!

Skye was banging on the invincible wall, hoping to break through it to help Josie. Just then, Hope and the rest came back." Thank god! You're here, quickly take the wall down, Josie's hurt!" Skye said.

Flashback (Skye)

"W-what are you gonna do?" Skye asked curiously.

"I'm going to siphon the barrier spell and I'm gonna to go face to face with the monster , I need to do some tests on its weakness and strengths." Josie says.

Skye took the chance when Josie was siphoning the wall to text Hope.

Text

Skye: Hope! Come here now! I may have let Josie do something dangerous, I'm scared she will be injured , please come back , please forgive me!

Hope: what?! What did you let her do!! I'm coming now !

Flashback end

"Why did you let her in?!! You know it's dangerous!" Hope shouted.

"I'm sorry, you can scold me or whatever later, we need to save Josie first ! Before she was knocked out she said the monster is scared of water, I saw it burn when it was hit with the water spell Josie used." Skye said.

Lizzie immediately siphoned the barrier wall away. Hope, Lizzie, Freya and Rebekah immediately started throwing water spells at the monster. Whenever a water spell hit the monster it screamed in pain. The monster started to attack them by swinging it's arms at them.

The monster swung it's arm towards Lizzie's leg which made her fall to the ground, the monster than picked her up with its hands up in the air. " Hey!! Put her down!!" Hope exclaimed.

Seeing the monster not listen to her, Hope transformed into her wolf form and she ran towards the monster. She started biting the monsters legs. Hope bit it's flesh from its legs one by one with blood splattering at every bite. This made the monster roar loudly in pain. Soon after many bites the monster fell down with Lizzie in it's arms, Alaric quickly went to Lizzie and picked her up , taking her away from the monster. Just then it quickly held Hope up  as she growled back at the monster, it started to squeeze her tighter and tighter which made her whine in pain. The monster was about to take Hope and eat her when suddenly a water spell hit the monsters hand which made it drop Hope. Josie with a broken arm, she slowly limped towards Hope to make sure she is okay, while Freya, Rebekah and Lizzie continue to throw water spells at the monster making it weaker.

Hope who transformed back laid on the floor injured and naked. Then Josie quickly teleported a blanket to cover Hope. Josie then took out her hoodie as she winced in pain from her broken arm. She took her hoodie and put in on for Hope with Skye and Emma's help.

Soon the monster died as it turned into ashes. Freya ran to Hope and picked her up and brought her to the nurse's office. Josie waited outside the nurse's office as they were treating Hope. Soon Freya came out of the nurse's office and said " She's fine now... She just needs to rest. Josie you should do something about your arm, come in and let the nurse treat you."

As Josie walked in , the sight of Hope broke her heart as tears started to flow down her face slowly. Hope had scratches on her face and had bandages around her arms. " Josie, she's fine, she just needs to rest." Freya said as she wiped the tears off Josie's cheeks. "No! It's my fault , i-if I didn't go inside, Hope wouldn't have came back and get herself injured to save me! I- it's all my fault ! " Josie screamed as she broke down  and fell onto her knees.

Freya's heart broke seeing Josie like this, she pulled Josie into a hug and started to rub her back to calm her down. " It's okay, it's okay josie, breathe okay, breathe... " Freya said. As Josie started to calm down, Freya picked her up and put her on the bed as the nurse treated Josie's broken arm. Josie then laid down on the bed in the nurse's office and looked at Hope.

Freya left the nurse's office after Josie finished her treatment and laid down on the bed. " How's the girls? " Rebekah asked with worry all over her face. " Their fine , they just need some rest, I think we shouldn't pressure Josie on the soulmate problem also we should push back the family dinner we were going to invite her to... She's having a hard time with Hope getting injured. She thinks it's her fault." Freya replied.

"Okay... Do you think I could go in I want to see how the girls are doing?" Rebekah asked.

"Yea... But be quiet Hope is asleep." Freya said.

Rebekah went in the room quietly to hear Josie sobbing softly. Rebekah slowly walked to Josie and brushed her head as she said "Hey sweetie, it's fine... Don't blame yourself... "

Josie sat up and hugged Rebekah as she sobbed more. Rebekah then brushed Josie's head to calm her down. After what seemed like an eternity, Rebekah could feel a small weight on her shoulder and realised Josie had fallen asleep on her shoulder, she then laid her down and tucked her in as she stepped out of the office.
