Chapter 17:Forgiveness

Previously on the Trio

Josie sat up and hugged Rebekah as she sobbed more. Rebekah then brushed Josie's head to calm her down. After what seemed like an eternity, Rebekah could feel a small weight on her shoulder and realised Josie had fallen asleep on her shoulder, she then laid her down and tucked her in as she stepped out of the office.

Josie woke up and turned to find  Hope. Josie then sat up and slowly walk towards Hope. Josie then sat on Hope's bed, she reached her hand out and brushed Hope's head. Tears slowly welled up in her eyes, Josie then looked up and blinked a few times hoping her tears would not fall.

After picking herself up, Josie then look down to a teary eyed Hope. This made Josie's long gone tears come back again. Tears started to flow down Josie's cheeks uncontrollably. Unwilling to let Hope see her cry, Josie turned her face away from Hope.

Hope then sat up from the bed and hugged Josie tightly also saying " Josie... Please don't cry."

Josie turned back to Hope and hugged her even tighter, breaking down even harder and burried her face in Hope's neck.

Hope slowly rubbed Josie's back hoping to calm Josie down. After a moment of silence between them. Hope spoke up and told Josie " Josie... Don't blame yourself, it's not your fault and I forgive you."

Josie didn't say anything but before she wanted to speak up a voice cut her off." Hey girls... How are you?" Freya asked.

"Hi Aunt Freya, We're fine, well I just have to deal with my fractured arm..." Josie said forcing a smile but soon her smile faded away.

"Josie, darling maybe you should drink Hope's blood, your arm will heal faster. There's a vial of Hope's blood in the fridge, I could get it for you." Caroline said while standing at the side of the door.

"Mom! You're back!" Josie said running towards Caroline and hugging her.

" Yes... Baby, mommy's back, I came back after your dad called me saying you got injured after getting into a fight with a monster." Caroline said as she hugged her daughter.

"Josie, Do you want to drink Hope's blood, it will help you with your arm." Caroline said sweetly.

"No... Mom, no I don't want to drink Hope's blood, I can't, not after what I did to Hope , I can't drink her blood mom... I just can't." Josie said as a tear rolled down her cheeks.

"Oh, Josie... Don't be sorry, you did nothing wrong, okay maybe running in to face the monster without telling any adults is wrong but Hope getting injured is not your fault, don't blame yourself , come... Now will you drink her blood, I don't want to see you suffer in pain from your fractured arm." Caroline said in a very gentle tone.

Josie looked at Caroline then at Hope, with a ' please say yes ' look. Josie then turned her head back to her mom and nodded her head, relief then took over as her mom walked to the fridge and took Hope's blood. Caroline gave the blood to Josie. Josie took the blood and held it for awhile hesitating to drink Hope's blood. " Josie... You must drink to get better." Freya said as she looked at Josie. Josie slowly took the vial of blood and raised it to her mouth as she slowly drinks it.

After a while, Josie's arm started to heal. " Mom, where's Lizzie?" Josie asked.

"Your sister is with the other students decorating the school again. Also I think your friend um who again, ah yes, Keiji, she’s here too! She said she would help decorate the school too! " Caroline said.

" Thanks mom , also if you see Keiji help me thank her for coming !" Josie said.

"Okay!" Caroline said.

After that Caroline and Freya left to give Hope and Josie time together.

"Josie... come here let's cuddle."Hope said as she pat at the space beside her.

Josie moved to Hope's side and laid down beside her facing away from Hope. Hope then put her arms around Josie's waist as they laid down together.

"Josie... You are a very selfless person, kind, caring and you are so sweet but you can't blame yourself for every thing that goes wrong because it's not your fault and we all know that." Hope said softly.

"Thank you Hope, it really means a lot and I really hope that you will recover soon." Josie said.

"Yea... About that. Actually I've already recovered. Perks of being a wolf." Hope said faking a laugh.

"It's good to know you're fine, should we go to Lizzie to find Keiji, it's Christmas!" Josie said turning around to face Hope.

When Josie turned around to face Hope, Josie's big and bright smile infected Hope causing her to smile too. " Yea let's go , let's not keep them waiting!" Josie said.

When Josie and Hope got out of the nurse's office, Freya was outside." Hey ! Hope could I talk to you for a moment , Josie could I steal her for a minute I'll promise to give her back to you later." Freya asked.

"Yea... Sure I'll go meet Lizzie first , I'll be waiting!" Josie said with a smile.

"Aunt Freya what is it?" Hope asked.

"Yea about that..." Freya said.

"Stop with the suspense Aunt Freya, just say it..." Hope said a little impatient.

"Did you know that on the twins 22nd birthday they have to go through something called the merge, The Merge is a powerful ritual performed as a practiced tradition by the Gemini Coven that determined who will be their next leader. It takes place in the Gemini Coven when two twins reach their 22nd birthday." Aunt Freya said.

"W-what do you mean by that Aunt Freya..." Josie said looking very shocked walking towards them.

"ANSWER ME! What is that..." Josie shouted.

"Jo-josie calm down..." Aunt Freya said.

"YOU'RE ASKING ME TO CALM DOWN WHEN IN A FEW YEARS EITHER MY SISTER OR I WILL DIE!" Josie shouted while starting to tear up.

"I- I can't do this..." Josie said as her voice start to fade away. Josie started running.

"Jo, Josie wait, Josie!" Hope shouted and started to chase after her.

Josie kept running not knowing where she'll run too. She didn't stop despite hearing Hope shouting at her asking her to stop, but the only thing she knows now is that she can't deal with it. Finally what seem like an eternity, she reached her destination, the old mill. Josie dropped to her knees and fell to the ground and screamed, letting out a magical wave.  The leaves on the ground and leaves on the trees started flying around.

"Jo..." Hope said.

Hope quickly ran towards Josie and hugged her.
