"EVERYTHING HAPPENED so fast."
My throat felt dry and I shifted in discomfort, my right ankle raised to lay on top of a pillow for levitation. I put the letter my mother sent me on the nightstand, thankful that Hermione had remembered to owl her after Lucius' threat. Rays of light were coming in through the infirmary's floor-to-ceiling windows and I wondered how I managed to fall asleep after the night my friends and I endured. My friends, I thought in alarm, moving to scan the vacant hospital beds around us.
"It's alright, dear," Madam Pomfrey assured, continuing to examine my condition and jot down information on a clipboard. "Professor Dumbledore has been making his rounds this morning. To each of your friends," she offered me a sad smile. "He just wants an accurate depiction of what occurred last night, but you are in no way obligated to share those details with me."
"So they're alright?" I asked.
A pit formed at the bottom of my stomach after memories about Harry came rushing back.
"Yes." She tucked the clipboard under her arm. "They sustained minor injuries and were dispatched early this morning. But I'm afraid you, Miss Blakes, must remain on bed rest until," she glanced down at her notes, "Tuesday evening. Just as a precaution."
I sighed and glanced down at my bandage-covered ankle.
"It's twisted," Madam Pomfrey waved her hand. "I used the Bandaging Charm for that, of course, and you'll have to take seven of these," she held up a vial of liquid. "For the poison."
Overwhelming emotions raced through me and I shuddered, thinking of the dagger and that psychotic witch...
"Oh, before I forget," Pomfrey added, making her way to the front doors. "A boy has been requesting to visit you since late last night. A Slytherin, I believe. But I sent him off to the Great Hall for breakfast first."
I perked up at her words. A Slytherin?

{Last Night}The force from Sirius' punch sent Lucius Malfoy rolling down the hill. I watched on with awe as lines of iridescent lights cut through the air, targeting Death Eaters on their way. Bellatrix managed to escape just in the knick of time, while other dark wizards were knocked backwards.
Suddenly, the Order of the Phoenix materialized from the bright smoke and stepped out with their wands ready. I recognized a few familiar faces: the real Professor Moody, Professor Lupin, Tonks, and Kingsley.
Sirius ran over to where we stood, quickly pushing Harry and I against the stone arch for protection. Pain shot up my right leg but I ignored it as spells zoomed dangerously about the room. I felt utterly helpless, knowing my wand was still in the possession of Draco's father.
