Luna Finely's P.O.V
"This is Samantha, my girlfriend." Noah said.
Samantha waved. "Call me Sam."
The walked closer towards Astro and I. "This is Astro and his little sister."
Now I'm just his little sister? Of course he has a girlfriend, I'm so naive and dumb to think he didn't.
Sam waved to us. "Hi."
I smiled unwillingly. "I'm Luna." I introduced and glanced over to Noah briefly.
Noah looked surprised for a second as if he forgot about me. "Luna is one of my friends here too."
Sam furrowed her perfect eyebrows. "You didn't tell me you had friends that were girls." She said softly to Noah.
"Must have slipped my mind." He shrugged.
Now he doesn't even think about me, great.
"Do you guys want anything to drink?" Sam asked after a moment of silence.
"Water is good." Astro replied and looked at me.
"Luna?" She asked and flashed a smile.
I stared at her for a moment before declining the offer. She nodded and kissed Noah's cheek and walked into the kitchen.
I looked at Noah who was laughing with my brother over some stupid topic. Everything seemed to go in slow motion. The emotions that I was feeling were indescribable, I guess I was more numb than anything. This situation is the perfect example of how my life is: once I am happy and everything is going fine something always happens to put me in my place, a dark place.
"Are you okay?" Noah asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." I replied without hesitation.
"You're crying." He said more concerned than anything.
I lifted my hand and touched my cheek which was wet with tears. I quickly wiped my face and looked down.
"Here's your water as asked." Sam said cheerfully. "What's wrong with her?"
I bit my tongue from snapping at her and fidgeted with my hands.
"Not now Samantha." Noah said. "Luna, can I talk to you?"
I looked up and into Noah's deep, blue eyes and nodded.
"I'll come too." Sam insisted and instantly latched onto Noah. Noah pushed her off and whispered something into her ear. She looked at me briefly and rolled her eyes. She walked off and sat with Miles.
Noah motioned me to follow him. He led me upstairs and into a room, his room to be exact. His walls were filled with posters and some boxes probably still waiting to be unpacked.
"Tell me what's wrong." He demanded as he closed his door.
"Nothing is wrong." I lied.
"You're lying."
"No-"
"You are." He said. "Tell me."
"You never mentioned Sam." I said as looked around his room.
"Is that what it's about?" He asked and walked towards me.
I didn't respond and took a baseball off his desk and rolled it around in my hand.
"I'm sure I've mentioned her before."
"Nope." I said keeping my eyes glued onto the ball.
"Is that why you're upset?"
