I woke up on the couch, my young dog, Hoagie, lying at my feet. I must have fallen asleep while everyone else was discussing plans. I got up and peered out the window, it looked like it was only around 9 at night, the sun was setting around this time.
No one else was around, which immediately led me to believe they left or are also sleeping. I quickly searched around the kitchen and living room, not finding anyone. I opened a door to a bedroom, finding someone sleeping on the bed, and another on the floor, Ella and Jenessa. Ok, they are all here, that's all I need to know.
I opened the front door, taking in the gorgeous feel of the early summer air. It was a little warm, comfortable to say at the least. It will be cold and dark in a hour or so.
I stepped outside, smelling burning fire wood from somewhere. It smells nice, but of course I do know that no one else lives around this area, which is quite alarming.
I thought instantly forest fire, but we had a great winter, so everything should be dampened... Unless the government is involved? Now why would the government give a single crap about Idaho? We are like the most least important state in the country...
Some one is probably just burning something.
I shrugged to myself, and took another step outside. I shut the door behind me, and walked over to the purple vehicle we had taken here. I was really only looking for a change of clothes.
I searched around in the car, my legs still hanging out the door. I flipped through my bag, and finally found something suitable. I grabbed it out, set it on the seat, and went to close my bag again. I was about to get out of the car but someone grabbed my leg.
"What the hell bro?!" I yelled hastily, not too fond of people making contact with me. I tried kicking the person off my leg, but was halted when I heard a gargled cry from behind me.
I quickly flipped myself around, screaming in terror at the scene that was behind me. A woman, blood dripping from her red eyes, had my leg in her clutches, trying to tear my foot off.
"HELP!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, trying to wake the others. The women lifted my ankle to her mouth, but I hurriedly kicked her across the face, only seeming to provoke her. I repeatedly kicked her in the face, the spine tingling sound of her nose breaking from the force of my kicks.
She must have became tired of my useless kicks, and bit down on the tip of my shoe. I screamed even louder, tearing my foot out of her reach, and scooting further into the back seat, reaching for the door handle behind me.
I opened the door and fell backwards onto my head, trying to escape the insane woman trying to eat my foot. She crawled after me, and I backed away, my vision blotchy from my landing.
I turned around, stood up- stumbling, and took off in a run for the house. She followed quickly after me, matching my dazed pace easily.
I jumped up the stairs, skipping every step, and fell into the door.
"Wake up!" I screamed, slamming the door shut on the psycho path lady. She violently threw herself against the door, the door threatening to break with every hit.
I ran to the back of the house, screaming, my dog barking along with me as I went. I rushed into the room I last saw Ella and Jenessa, and they were stirring in their sleep.
"Get up!" I yelled. Ella snapped awake with a flinch, but Jenessa waved her hand around in the air as if to silence me.
"What happened?!" Ella asked, worried at my frenzied look. I gave an embarrassed smile, mostly from my own fear and told in small detail what had happened
