•Katrina

I swing open the front door and walk in. Just as I was about to walk up the stairs to go to sleep my mother storms out of the kitchen.

"Katrina I knew you shouldn't have gone to that concert!" My mother yelled throwing her hands up in the air and slapping them against her mid thighs.

"I had a great time, thanks for asking," I remarked as I spun on my heel towards the stairs.

"Katrina!" My mother yelled again.

I groaned as I walked back over to face my mom.

"You aren't normal you can't keep doing things like this Katrina," my mother sighed.

"I'm not normal? Maybe I'm sick but I'm still a living human being!" I raised my voice.

"Then why do you think your father left to go to America?"

My heart sped up. I understand she was angry but she didn't need to act like a complete bitch.

"You're a complete bitch! I'm normal and if you'd like to leave my life go right ahead you can leave me to die!" I screamed turning on my heel and going up the stairs as quickly as I could.

I collapsed onto my bed and cried softly. I know my mum just cared about my well being and that she was scared but she didn't have the right to make me feel worthless.

I shushed myself as I heard footsteps walk up the stairs and close the door at the beginning of the hall.

I need some fresh air. I changed into an oversized sweater and sweatpants with some vans. I slowly crept down the stairs carefully exiting out the front door.

Wow it truly was beautiful outside. I looked up at the sky which was now a dark blue filled with glistening stars sparkling light down to the earth.

I dragged my feet on the pavement as I walked around the block. I stopped at the second block as I heard footsteps behind me.

"Katrina?" A familiar voice called out softly from behind me.

I shot around to see Luke smiling as he gripped onto his forearm. He walked up to me as we started walking together.

"You live on this street?" He asked.

"2 streets over actually," I said with a half smile.

"You trying to get a tour of our subdivision?" He asked with a light laugh.

"No just needed to get out of the house. How about you?"

"No reason."

I stopped and grabbed his forearm removing his hand off it. I observed the scrape on his arm knowing it was pretty bad.

"Luke what did you do?" I chuckled.

"I tripped and slid on carpet. I left my house because I didn't want my mom to freak out," he explained as rosy color filled his cheeks.

"Aw how cute," I cooed.

He jokingly hit my arm causing me to laugh.

"Help me please!" He begged.

"I have supplies at my house, why don't you come over and I will make you feel better," I offered.

He smiled and nodded.

We walked towards my house in silence. When we reached my front porch I paused staring at him intently.

"You better be quiet because my mom is sleeping," I informed.

"You'll hardly even know I'm here," he smirked earning a punch in the arm.

I slowly creaked the front door open and examined the house before gesturing Luke to walk in.

I grabbed his hand and lead him towards the couch.

"Sit here I will go get the stuff," I whispered.

He nodded and I headed into the upstairs bathroom and grabbed the medical supplies.

I quickly scurried down the stairs and towards Luke. I set the box of medical supplies on the couch and opened it.

"This is gonna sting a little but it will make you feel better I promise," I whisper.

He nods with a nervous expression splattered across his face.

I sprayed the disinfecting on his rug burn scrape thing and looked up to see he was trying hard not to scream.

"It's okay Luke you're almost done," I assured as I grabbed the bandage material and wrapped his arm.

I secured it with a piece of tape and nodded my head at my work.

"All done!" I whisper exclaimed.

I grabbed Luke's hand pulling him up from the couch as we exited my house.

"Why aren't you inside?" Luke asked slowly.

"Because I'm walking you home," I stated.

"No no go get some rest."

"Luke. I'm walking you home no matter what you attempt to do," I put my hands on my hips.

"Okay you win," he gave in.

We walked across the pavement in silence for a while. I wasn't entirely sure if it was awkward silence or what it was but it was kinda peaceful.

We reached the driveway of Luke's house minutes later.

"Thanks for everything Kat," Luke grinned as he pulled me into a hug.

I will be honest I wanted to stay in that hug forever.

"No problem. See you tomorrow," I reached up and gave him a kiss on his cheek before walking away.

"Right, tomorrow," Luke called out causing me to smile.
