It was going to be the best day in the universe. The day I got to go to the last concert of 5 seconds of summer's tour and boy was I excited.
I was wearing a black cami and a flannel with some ripped skinny jeans and vans and currently scrolling through twitter.
"Kat are you sure you're feeling well?" My mom asked for the millionth time.
"I couldn't feel any better if I tried," I stated locking my phone and dropping it on the seat of the couch next to me.
I have small cell lung cancer. I was diagnosed when I was 12 and I was doing a lot better than I was before. I'm currently 18 and I'm alive, who could ask for more right?
My phone vibrated notifying that my cousin, Miranda was here to pick me up.
"Miranda's here mom, I will see you later!" I called out as I swung the front door open.
"Okay love you! Take care of yourself!" My mom called rushing into the living room to wave a goodbye.
I closed the front door behind me and walked out into my cousins car.
"Hey Kat what's up?" Miranda asked as she pulled out of my driveway.
She was the only person who actually made me feel like I was a real person.
"Well I don't know the best day of my life is today. No biggy," I answered nonchalantly.
She laughed. Miranda didn't exactly like 5 seconds of summer but she agreed to go with me so my mom wouldn't be freaking out over me the whole time.
30 minutes later we pulled into a packed parking lot of an outdoor arena.
"Ready kiddo?" Miranda asked as she opened my car door for me.
I stepped out of the car and looked at the sun shining on the arena with a huge crowd of fans already everywhere. I took a deep breath in.
"More than ready," I breathed out.
We walked over to the crowd handing over our tickets to the security men. We were in the 4th row and our view was perfect.
About 15 minutes later the boys entered onto the stage. Screams of excitement escaped everyone and I's lips.
They played 18 as their introduction song.
"Hi we're 5 seconds of summer! We're gonna play a couple more songs if you don't mind!" Michael exclaimed into the microphone.
Screams erupted again as they played heartbreak girl, lost boy, teenage dream, end up here, long way home, and try hard.
"For our last song we are gonna play she looks so perfect!" Ashton cheered.
"Thank you guys so much for coming out today we love you all so much!" Luke exclaimed causing a smile to mold into my face.
As they sang about halfway through the song my vision was becoming blurry. I was still swaying my body back and forth dancing to the beat of the music as I ignored the blur. It was probably just bad vision.
But then the room started spinning around as sound started drowning out. My breaths became short and rapid and I found it hard to breathe. The room slowly turned into a black picture as my body hit the cold concrete.
