•Katrina

I was finishing typing my essay while eating a bagel. I was an online school student because I didn't want to walk around public school receiving depressing facial expressions that made me want to cringe. Nobody should have to go through pain but myself.

My mom and I have been trying to ignore each other from last nights debate. I knew she felt horrible for all she said because she couldn't even fake a smile.

"Mom, I'm going to my friends house," I informed shutting laptop.

"Boy or girl?"

"Boy. 4 boys actually."

"How long will you be there?" My mom asked quickly shoving things into a bag.

I rolled my eyes and stood up from the couch.

"Mom I need you to trust me. I know it's hard but I need to get out and have fun while I have the chance to," I assure placing my hand on her shoulder.

She smiled lightly and pulled me into a tight hug.

"I know Kat. I didn't mean anything I said last night you know that right?" She softly said.

"I know mom don't worry about it," I pulled out of the hug.

"Love you honey."

"Love you too mom," I said as I quickly went up the stairs to grab my beanie.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing leggings and a long sleeve peach sweater. I put my big fuzzy socks on and slipped my boots over it and walked out the door.

I walked all the way down to Luke's house. It didn't make sense to have my mom to drive 2 streets over just to drop me off.

I walked up the familiar driveway when my phone vibrated in the pocket of my sweatpants. I took it out and looked at the unknown number.

Unknown number: hey hey hey it's asshhh. when you coming kat?

To Ashton: there's a surprise on Luke's porch you probably should go check it out (;

From Ash: don't mind if I do.

The front door swing open to a giddy Ashton. I laughed as he pulled me into a tight hug.

"Hi," I breathed out a laugh.

He released me from the hug and looked at my still with a smile. Man he was so happy it was adorable.

"Come on in to this mysterious house," Ashton backed away from the door letting me step in.

"CATWOMAN!" Calum screamed.

He ran over and hugged me.

"Catwoman?" I chuckled.

"It's one of your multiple brilliant nicknames babe."

"Michael you're missing out on a hug," I crossed my arms around my chest.

He ran over and hugged me as well.

"LUCAS. GET YOUR ARS DOWN HERE!" Ashton demanded.

Luke came scurrying down the stairs.

"Sorry Kat, I was going to the bathroom," he gave me a hug.

"No problem."

I looked over into the living room and saw remote controllers sprawled out everywhere.

"Lets play," I pointed over to the tv.

"Oh no I don't want you to cry when we crush you," Michael teased.

"Oh please you're gonna be drowning in your own tears," I shot back.

"You're on!"

"Like king kong!"

We rushed over to the living room and grabbed the controllers. We decided to play mine craft hunger games because it was more mysterious and thrilling.

"Who's on your team?" Ashton asked.

"You and Calum."

"We're gonna beat you guys hope you know," Luke smirked.

"Bring it on."

We started and Calum immediately killed Luke.

"Michael hide its night time!" Luke screamed.

"Okay okay I am in my hiding spot!" Michael screamed back.

I climbed a high tree and stopped once I saw Michaels back. This tree could kill him if I chop it down.

"Why am I falling? Shit no no no no no!!!! NOOOO! IM DEAD!" Michael wailed.

"WE WIN!" My team and I cheered dancing on the carpet.

"Don't cry it's okay," I joked causing Ashton and Calum to laugh.

I sat on the couch folding my legs into a criss cross as Calum and Michael sat next to me and Luke and Ashton laying on the floor.

"What are your hobbies besides killing people on video games?" Luke asked with a laugh.

"Nothing really. Breathing is not my forte," I joked but I think they took it seriously.

"Come on Kat there has to be something," Calum put his head on a shoulder.

I rubbed my chin in thought.

"I like to sing and I can play guitar but let me just tell you I sound like a pig when I sing."

"Play for us!" They all shouted.

Luke got up and ran out of the room. He returned quickly with an acoustic guitar in his left hand and a smirk.

"Come on play a song!" Michael begged.

"I will return a favor for you," Luke said suddenly.

"Ugh hand me the guitar," I stretched my arm out.

"This is a personal favorite of mine," I smiled.

I played 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' by Meghan Trainor and John Legend.

I finished the final chord and looked up to 4 jaws hanging.

"Was I really that bad?" I asked covering my face with my hands.

Calum lifted them off my face.

"You were amazing," he smiled.

I smiled back and cuddled into him.

I look over to see Luke's face completely red. I could tell there was something wrong even though he was trying to hide it from his facial features.

"You really were Katrina!" Michael exclaimed.

"You should be famous!" Ashton squealed.

"Yeah you should," Luke added shyly.

"Thanks you guys but I will leave the fame up to you," I laughed.
