It was friday 26th of May 2010. A brown haired girl was following this shapeshifter, who's been terorizing the whole St. Louis in Missouri. She saw him change into a member of some big family that lived in the middle of the city. She tried to drive as fast as she could so she could stop it, but her old Jeep was slowing down more and more. She stopped right in front of the big gray house and took her gun with her as she exited the car. She kicked the front door open and right in that moment she saw the shapeshifter killing the youngest member of the family. She didn't immidiately notice the last member alive, hiding under a kitchen table with a knife in hand, in desperate attempt to protect herself. The blondie hiding under the kitchen table wanted to scream, believing it was her turn to die, but before the shapeshifter could do anything to her,  the brown haired girl shot him dead. It was just one shot, one single silver bullet to end his life. She quicky rushed to blondie hidding under the table.

,,It's okey, you're safe now." she said and grabbed her hand to help her get up. ,,Come with me."

She took the blondie outside as fast as possible. No one should see the bodies of their dead family members. She would know. The brown haired girl called the police and right after that she drove back to the motel she was staying in. She took the terrified blond girl to her room and asked if she needed anything. She just shook her head, she was scared and confused because of what just happened. Too scared to even talk. The brown haired girl understood so she just sat across from her and waited for the young girl to start talking when she wanted to.

,,Who are you?" The blond girl asked her quietly, she was almost whispering. It was the first time eighter of them spoke in about ten minutes of just staring at each other.

,,I'm Hunter, Hunter Black." said the brown haired girl, who was quietly drinking a glass of some kind of alcohol, as if today was just normal thing to her. ,,I know you have lot's of questions, but I'm afraid I can't really answer them."

,,Why?"The young girl asked. ,,My family was murdered by some thing that looked like my dad and you can't tell me a fucking thing about what just happened? You killed it, you have to tell me something!" her voice was shaking and she wanted her answers, she needed them.

,,Okey, let's start with your name and glass of something stronger than water, what do you say?" Hunter said as she got up and went to pour her a small glass of some whiskey she had bought.

,,That you're fucking crazy." The blonde looked at Hunter, who gave her the glass of alcohol. ,,I can't drink. I'm eighteen."

,,So?" she said and put the glass in her hand. ,,What's you name, kid?"

,,I'm Meira Sanchez." she said. ,,Can you just tell me what the hell happened tonight? What was that thing and why did it want to kill my family? We never did anything bad to anyone."

Hunter somehow knew that Meria wouldn't not stop asking until she got her answers. Her only option was to tell Meira the truth, the whole truth. She started with explaining the situation that happened in her house. She then told her about monsters and that she's a hunter. Hunter looked at this blond girl with tattoos on her left arm. Meira was looking at the girl in front of her, she coudn't believe anything Hunter told her. Monsters weren't real, right? The girl was just some stranger, a drunk who was telling her some bedtime stories.

Meira walked out from the room, this was bullshit for her. She sat on the dirty stairs and looked at dark road in front of her. She had to clear her mind from all of this. Not long after, Hunter joined her.

,,If all of what you told me is true..." Meira looked at her. ,,I don't want to live in not knowing again. I want you to teach me all you know, everything, because this...this can't happen to anyone else Hunter."

,,I'm not so sure it's a good idea." she shook her head.

,,What? Why not? Please Hunter, I need you to teach me."

Hunter sighed and looked at her once again. ,, This life is dangerous. It's not for everyone, you can die every day, and once you get into this, the only way out, is in a cascet." She saw the pleading eyes of Meira staring right into her soul and something in her moved. Almost as if she saw herself in those eyes. And so she caved. ,,Okey." she nodded. ,,You look like someone who could handle this with the right training. But you have to do everything I say okey? This is not fun."

,,I will." Meira nodded. ,,Thank you. For saving me."

,,That's what we do, kid." Hunter said in a sad tone and turned her head to look at the sky. Their journy started at this moment, and she could only hope it would end better than her familys.
