Girs were sleeping in their car for a past three days. It was already three days since the house burned down and they were convinced that they are safe now.
Meira was the first who woke up which was weird since Hunter wasn't really sleeping these last few moths. Meira got out of the car and stretched, they were in middle of nowhere and the sun was slowly comming up. This was it, they were finally free and it felt so good.
She knew that boys have already seen the news and she couldn't even imagine how they were feeling. She heard the ringing of the phone in the car. That woke Hunter up. It was one of their old phones, that they used only for haunting. The call ended soon and Meira looked who called. It was them, all three of them. She then looked at Hunter, who looked really tired.
It was really cold morning so Meira took her jacket from the car. Hunter got out from the car, took a deep breath and looked at Meira who was looking at the nature around them.
,,We need to go back, you know." Hunter said. ,,To the bunker. We need to tell them that we're still alive before they do something stupid and sell their slouls or some shit."
,,Yeah, I know." Meira nodded. ,,But are you ready?" she looked at Hunter. ,,To go back?"
Hunter took a deep breath once again. ,,We have to go."
It was two days ride back with all the stops for gas and bathroom. They were being very carefull, always wearing something on their head so that their faces can't be seen. Hunter didn't want to call back, not knowing what would she say. When they came up with the plan to kill them, they never thought about how other people would feel.
They parked outside Kansas, near some corn fields when Hunter broke down after burning down the house. She couldn't stop crying, the memories being too much for her at that moment. She knew it would be hard but they needed to go back. They've been gone for almost four months now. Now it was time for them to go home. And when she looked at Meira, she thought that they got even closer on this stupid run.
They hit the road again. Meira didn't know what to expect. They changed a lot and not just with looks. Their behavior was slightly different. Hunter was even more sarcastic and ironic, some would call it loosing her mind but Meira knew she was just broken and that she hid her pain behind those things. And Meira wasn't that little stupid girl anymore, she was more grown up, more serious and in some ways, kinda sarcastic, still happy for the most of the times, but someting changed.
,,It will be so strange to see them again." Meira said.
,,I know." Hunter nodded. ,,But it's time to go home now and solve this fucking mess."
,,I just-I have so many questions and I'm scared of the answers, you know?"
,,Yeah. I know. I'm scared too."
Will they be mad at them for burning Bobby's house down and making it seem like they died? Or will they be happy that they are alive and back? What about Jack, is he still mad at Meira? What if they found someone else to fill their rooms with? Do they actually care after their fight? Girls hoped they do.
There was som many questions and no answers. Those answers were in the bunker. Last time they saw each other, they were fighting. Now they're dead for them. This is going to be so hard and weird. But at least, they don't have cops following them anymore.
