Louis's POV:

Lexi kept leaving me on seen. I desperately wanted to talk to her, because of how she seemed this morning.

But because of her no response to my texts and calls, I started to doubt my thoughts.

Maybe she didn't care about what happened last night.

I thought it meant something to her.....and to me... I thought.

Maybe she doesn't even care and wanted to explain to me that the skateboarding and everything that happened didn't mean anything to her. Maybe she just didn't want to hurt my feelings, so she's just not responding.

I know it's only been a few days but she was so nice to me and last night? That definitely meant something to me, did it not mean anything for her?

It was destroying me that Lexi didn't meet up with me or respond to me.

Maybe I should wait until she comes back to her room..

Is that too obsessive? Is that too extra? A bit creepy?

I should just try to talk to her tomorrow, I finally decided.

I headed into my room and listened to Wallows' songs.

A few minutes later, I got a text notification.

I jumped up, hoping it was Lexi.

It wasn't Lexi.

It was Ella.

I sighed, reading the text. Where r u? It's lunch time rn!!

Busy rn. I'll see you at dinner. I texted back.

I continued listening to music, and heated up an instant mac and cheese, while trying to finish my homework at the same time.

An hour later, I finished my homework.

I got bored, since there was nothing to do, so I headed outside.

I glanced at the door next to mine.

Lexi's.

I wondered if Lexi was in her room by now, but I shook the thought out of my head.

I sat down on an indoor bench that currently was not being used, and got out my phone.

I went onto Instagram, and texted Tiffany, Hey do u know where Lexi is???

A few seconds later, she typed back, She's busy rn, sorry.

Alright, tell her we need to talk. I texted.

I was confused. Wasn't Lexi the one who was trying to talk to me about it to me this morning?

So why was she the one ignoring me?

I called Tiffany on Instagram, and she almost immediately picked up.

"Oh hi, Louis!" She cheerfully said.

I wasn't in the mood to be cheerful, I just wanted to talk with Lexi.

"Hey, can you put Lexi on the phone?" I asked, trying to be patient.

"Well, you see..." Tiffany started, as I interrupted her.

"Unless there's a big test Lexi is studying for, she doesn't really have anything that urgent to deal with right now, so can you please put her on the phone?" I pleaded.

"Give me a second." Tiffany replied, as I heard distant whispers from the call.

"Uh, she'll meet you in front of her room in a few minutes." Tiffany finally said.

"Thank you." I thanked her, and was about to end the call when she shouted into the phone.

"Wait! Can I get your phone number? For like, you know, helping you contact Lexi when she's busy with me, and stuff like that?" Tiffany asked.

"Uh, sure." I replied, and gave her my number.

"Okay, cool! Bye!" Tiffany exclaimed as I ended the call.

I then walked over to my room, and leaned against my closed door, scrolling through Instagram on my phone, waiting for Lexi to come.

A few minutes later, I heard footsteps so I lifted my head up and saw Lexi.

I immediately put my phone in my pocket as I greeted her.

"Hey, Lexi!" I half-smiled.

"Uh, hey." She responded.

"So....we need to talk." I pointed out the obvious.

"I don't  know what you're talking about." Lexi cleared her throat.

"Lexi, don't confuse me, just tell me the truth." I begged, as I saw Lexi putting her key into her door, slowly opening the door.

"Yesterday was a mistake." Lexi commented, opening the door wider.

I stepped forward and shut the door by putting my arm on the door so Lexi couldn't avoid me again. To be fair, I was a bit too close to her face, but that didn't matter right now.

"What-what do you mean yesterday was a mistake?," I stammered. "I thought you were having fun!"

Lexi slowly shook her head. "Yeah, I had fun, but yesterday, the holding me, the everything. It was a mistake. I just don't want to be that kind of relationship with you right now, you know?"

I stood there confused. "So what's your point?" I asked her.

"My point is," She sighed. "that I feel like by me hanging out with you so much just takes me away from my friends and I don't want that. I don't wanna exclude my other friends just because of how much time I hang out with you so maybe try to make friends other than me because I won't be following you 24/7."

"I'm sorry, Lexi. I didn't know that I would bother you by hanging out with you so much." I apologized.

"No, it's not your fault, it's just," Lexi paused to think. "I just need to figure some problems out with my friends, that's all."

"Now can you move your arm so I can get into my room and eat dinner?" She slightly chuckled.

"Dinner? What-" I looked down to see her holding a plate of spaghetti.

"Oh, sure." I stepped back a few steps and moved my arm.

"Well, goodnight, Lexi." I called out.

"Yup." She replied as she went into her room.

She didn't say goodnight back... I thought.

Oh well, at least we were still friends...right?

I walked down to the cafeteria, and got my food, as Ella called me over to her table.

I sat down, and ate my dinner. Once I finished, I said my goodbyes to everyone at the table and headed to my room.

Lying in bed, the only thing in my head was how I wished Lexi could feel the same way I felt about her.

A/N:

Ahhhh I kind of hate this chapter because of how blind Lexi is to the fact that Tiffany is manipulating her, but this is a chapter that is needed in order for my future chapters to work out so I'm sorry if you guys don't particularly like this chapter!
