Louis's POV:

I caught up to Lexi and grabbed her arm.

"Woah, hey, wait. What was that all about?" I frowned, looking at Lexi, then glancing back at Ella and her friends who were whispering to each other about something.

Lexi sighed. "I didn't mean to be rude, but like I said before, they're toxic. Trust me on this one."

I nodded. "But you know," I scratched my head then put my hands into my pocket. "they're nice to me so maybe they aren't as bad as you think?"

Lexi shook her head, putting her hand on her face. "They're- You know what? Sure, you should hang out with them. I'm sorry I went off on you, I just- I just had bad experiences with them, but if they're nice to you, then enjoy that friendship." Lexi started to smile at me, making me start to blush, so I coughed and pointed to the classroom up ahead.

"That's our English class?" I asked.

Lexi ran her fingers through her hair. "Yeah," She paused. "How did you know?"

I grinned pointing at the teacher name sign stuck on the door.

"Ah....clever, I see." Lexi got her phone out and started texting somebody.

I tried not to be nosy, so looked ahead..

"Hey, uh, what do you think of Tiffany?" Lexi asked while we were sitting down at our desks.

I cocked my head a bit. "Tiffany? Well, she's nice I guess," I shifted to get more comfortable on my chair. "Why?"

Lexi hesitated. I could tell she was thinking of a lie. "Uh, I was just uh, curious, you know? Of how you see my friends."

I slowly nodded and got out my pencil. "Understandable."

"Anyways," Lexi said as the English teacher gave us both a package that was about writing essays, "Let's get started on doing some work." I nodded, and got down to work.

The English teacher told the class that we could listen to music while doing our work, so I happily got my phone and airpods out, pressing play on my Spotify playlist.

Time went by much faster with music for me, so English class seemed to finish sooner than I thought.

By the time 6th period was over, I was exhausted. I wasn't used to the school or the schedule. I guess Lexi noticed I was tired, because she shook me, telling me to get up.

"What?" I muttered.

"School's over now, you can rest now!" Lexi said, as I got my backpack and walked towards my room.

Since I didn't memorize how the school looked like, I had to follow Lexi in order to get back into my room.

Along the way, however, lots of girls asked me for my Snap and Instagram. I explained to them that I don't do Snapchat, but that I had Instagram and that my username was louispartridge_ so they could follow me there.

I honestly just wanted to get to my room and get some rest, and it seems like Lexi was too, because every time a girl asked me for my social media, she stopped, and stared at me impatiently.

Eventually, we both got to our rooms, and before I could get in and collapse onto the bed in my room, Lexi grabbed my arm.

"Don't forget, I'll text or knock on your room in a few hours for the time we're meeting at the cafeteria tomorrow, so don't knock yourself completely out." Lexi looked tired too, I could see bags in her eyes, and I could tell she wanted to get some rest herself as well.

"Alright." I grunted and closed the door and collapsed into my bed and fell asleep.

After a few hours of sleeping, I heard a knock on my door. I wanted to groan out of exhaustion, but I knew better than to keep somebody waiting just because I was lazy and didn't wanna get up. I rubbed my eyes, turned the lights on, and checked my room to make sure everything was clean before I opened the door.

It was Lexi.

"Oh hey, Lexi." I ran my hand through my hair which had gotten messed up from my sleep.

"Hey, I wanted to let you know that we're meeting at the Cafe 1pm sharp tomorrow. And also don't eat lunch yet because we're going to eat food at the mall." Lexi explained, as I tried to process everything she just said.

Once I realized what she was saying, I nodded and thanked her and closed the door. After a few minutes of wasting time on my phone, I realized I had homework to do, so I got out my pencil and started doing my homework.

By the time I finished my homework it was midnight, so I sighed and went to sleep.

The next morning, my alarm woke me up. It was 9:50am! I remembered how Lexi warned me that the cafeteria would stop serving breakfast at 10:00am, so I got dressed, brushed my teeth and practically ran down to the cafeteria (I only got lost like 3 times on the way there).

When I got there, it was too late. I groaned, and turned around to somehow find my lunch somewhere else, when a girl called my name. I turned around and realized it was Ella.

"Oh hey, Ella." I greeted.

"Hey! I thought you would arrive late so I saved you a sandwich!" Ella said, giving me a sandwich.

"Oh, thanks! I needed that." I thanked Ella and sat beside her at her table with her friends.

"So anyway Louis, how's Lexi?" Ella asked me, as I suddenly choked on my sandwich.

"Sorry, what?" I questioned.

"You know, you guys seem close and all so I was wondering if you guys are a thing now or not. Not to scare you Louis, but practically every girl is at your knees and would do anything to date you right now so we need to make sure those girls aren't simping for a taken guy, you know?" Ella smiled.

"We're not dat- We're just friends." I said, defending Lexi and I's friendship.

Ella rolled her eyes. "Please, Louis, I'm not trying to be rude or anything but even if you don't like her, I'm sure she's falling for you, just like the rest of the girls at this school."
