Not Okay

ch. 2

I couldn't find the actual video of the song with Micheal but this will do!! I thought of this song while writing this chapter and thought it was fitting for later on in the chapter!!

Its Monday my first day of work. It's 5:50 and i'm doing my make up and finishing getting ready. I am dropping Bruiser off at my parents while i'm at training today so he's not all alone. I'm super nervous but at the same time super excited. I never have anything to look forward to anymore besides seeing Bruiser when I get home when I leave the house.

I curled my hair today. I know it's just a register job i'm still excited I haven't curled my hair since the begging of junior year of collage I haven't really had a reason to. I have on a red crew neck with kakis pants. I'm allowed to wear any shirt as long as it's all red they are also giving me 2 shirts when i'm there and my badge.

After I finished getting ready I got all my things and Bruisers things and headed over to my parents house.

"Okay bubs please behave today with grandma Mary and grandpa Dean. I know you'll have fun okay." I say once we pull up at their house.

"Alright game time okay. I love you bubs" he snuggles into me and give him a big hug and bring him inside.

After I left my parents house I still had a good amount of time so I put on a podcast my therapist recommended for me to listen to when i'm nervous. I went through the coffee shops drive thru and got my self a black coffee.

I got to target 10 minutes earlier than i'm supposed to be here so i'm trying to enjoy my coffee and settle my nerves.

As I head inside the store I start to feel giddy again and no longer nervous. I make my way to the break room like I was told to do. When I get in there i'm greeted by the manager who I had meet at my interview and another employee who seems like she's in her late 30s early 40s with beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes. She's around 5'6 if I were to guess and has an intimated but soft and sweet look.

As they go through the basics of what i'll be doing today I follow the lady who I had learned name was Tracy to my register that she would be training me at. She's explained what I would have to do and that she would help when we had customers. And to not be afraid to ask questions.

It wasn't super busy because it was 8am on a Monday so Tracy and I got to know each other which was nice. It meant I wouldn't be completely alone here and would at least have someone I could talk to if I had wanted to here.

Once customers started coming in it was actually surprisingly easy. I wasn't super fast when it came to scanning the items people were checking out but I was getting better. It was quite brining but Tracy was keeping me company.

It was around 11:30 when I met a pair of gorgeous green eyes while checking people out. He had medium length brown hair and was dressed in black jeans and a black black t-shirt. He was gorgeous.

When I realized that we had been holding eye contact I quickly broke it going to scan his items.

"How's your day been going?" I hear a male voice say.

I snap my head up and quickly realize I didn't answer his question yet.

"Oh i'm it's been good. It's my first day here actually. How about you?" I ask keeping my head down scanning his things.
