Chapter 1: Rainstorm

(Year 2013)

"Yes! Class suspended!" Danielle cheers as she jumps out of her bed and she slightly flinched when thunder roared and she peeks out of her window. She smiles when she sees the rain pouring down and she sighs happily. Danielle loves the rain because aside from class being suspended, she enjoys staying at home, listening to music and playing video games. 

Danielle generally loves emo rock music and video games like Final Fantasy and Tekken. She even made friends because of these two video games like she found older brothers by heart. She is one of the boys in her group of friends. She turned her PS3 and played her favourite game Tekken Tag Tournament 2. "Ahh... Nothing beats this best feeling of staying at home in this bed weather and play video games with hot choco on the side" she sighs satisfyingly and she puts on her cat earphone and pressed start and in the middle of her gameplay, her brother Joseph knocks on her door.

"Hey Danny, Bryan is here." Joseph said as Danielle furrowed her eyebrows and she groaned. 
"Why would he come here while it's heavily raining..." She paused the game and she goes downstairs as she saw her friend Bryan soaking wet because of the rain and he's with someone.

"Hey Danny girl!" Bryan greets while squeezing out the water off from his socks. 
"For the love of Christ, don't call me like that..." Danielle said "Why are you here while there's a heavy storm and why are you wearing uniform when class is suspended?"
"I didn't tell my parents that class is suspended to get my allowance" Bryan laughs as Danielle rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"As always..." Danielle smirks and she saw Bryan's friend outside, getting wet because of the rain. "Hey, why don't you let your friend come inside" She said to Bryan.
"Wha-? Hey, Richie why don't you come here?" Bryan calls his friend as his friend shyly comes inside Danielle's house.
"G- Good morning..." He politely and shyly said while shivering.
"By the way, this is Richard. My classmate." Bryan introduced Richard to Danielle.
"Jesus Christ, he might get sick 'coz he's soaking wet. Hold on I'll get some towels and a shirt for you" Danielle said to Richard and she goes upstairs. As she came back, she handed the towel and the shirt to him and she slightly smiles at him "...here" she said.
"Oh thank you so much." Richard smiles. 
"Wow, you are so nice to him, what about me?" Bryan pouts.
"Nah you can handle yourself." Danielle slightly chuckles and she turns to Richard. "You can change at the bathroom." she said as she goes to the kitchen and prepares coffee for the two.

The rain still pours down as Bryan and Richard are having a nice conversation with Danielle's mom, Joseph and her sister Lili. Danielle is up in her room, playing video games. Danielle is an introvert kind of person, not really into conversation and she likes to stay in her room. After defeating the boss stage in Kingdom Hearts, Danielle took her headphones off after hearing a knock. 
"Yes?" she calls as Richard took a peek. "Oh. It's you. Can I help you?"
"Ah... Nothing. Mind if I come in?" Richard asks
"Sure go ahead." Danielle doesn't mind as Richard looked around. Danielle's bedroom walls are filled with emo band posters such as My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy. Also filled with Taylor Swift merch and albums and on the other side of her room is filled with video game posters and collection such as Final Fantasy, Tekken and Kingdom Hearts. 
"Your room is so cool." Richard said
"Thanks" Danielle said as she grabbed another PS3 controller and she handed to Richard "You play video games?" Danielle asks
"Yeah but not that good." Richard humbly said as Danielle changed the game to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and they both play. Danielle is good at this game which lead to Richard always lose.
"Damn, Bryan is right. You are good!" Richard smiles.
"Thanks!" Danielle smiles and then she looked out the window "Seems like the rain hasn't stopped yet."
"Yeah... So, how did you met Bryan?" Richard asks as he put the controller down
"Well, because of this game." Danielle said, referring to Tekken.
"Really?" Richard asks "How?"
"Well, my sister Lili plays this game then there's gaming arcade near downtown where she always hang out then she drags me there and I got addicted to this game and then I met a lot of people there including Bryan and then the branches goes on and on until right now I met you." Danielle slightly smiles and she looked at Richard's bright brown eyes and she blinks twice and she blushes 'Wh- what...?" she said in her mind and she shrugged and changed the topic. "So what about you? What are your hobbies?" Danielle asks.
"Me? Oh but I like anime, gaming as well and I love toy collection" Richard smiles. "But people make fun of me 'coz I still collect toys even though I'm already like in college..." Richard embarrassingly said.
"Hey, same but y'know what, I don't mind if people make fun of me because I like video games, I am emo but I don't give a damn because you're just doing what you love and just don't mind all the people who tries to destroy the things that you love." Danielle said as Richard smiles
"Geez, thanks." Richard giggles as the rain stops and they both looked outside the window and Bryan knocks 
"Hey yo Richie, let's get going." Bryan said as Richard sighs and he looked at Danielle "Guess we need to go now." 
"Yeah sure." Danielle said as she stood up and she leads the two to the front door. "Nice to meet you Richard." She said
"Nice to meet you too." Richard smiles and he waves as Bryan and him left.
