Chapter 2: Enthusiasm

School is back after being suspended yesterday because of the heavy rainstorm as Danielle throws her alarm clock and she gets up lazily "I hate school..." she groaned and she goes downstairs to have breakfast and get ready. 

After getting ready, she was on her way to school, wearing her huge pink Skullcandy earphones, listening to Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Greenday, someone poked at her back and she looked behind her. 
"Richard!" She gasps
"Good morning!" He gleefully greets. "On your way to school?" 
"Yeah... and it sucks..." Danielle sighs
"Come on, it's early in the morning! Show some enthusiasm!" Richard tried to cheer Danielle up and Danielle sighs 
"yeah sure having an enthusiasm even though you're having the same old routine everyday and being surrounded with the bunch of morons in school yeah that is enthusiastic" Danielle sarcastically said.
"You're in third year high school, right?" Richard asks
"Yup and I want to graduate already. I don't want to be in this hell anymore" Danielle asks while she put her headphones around her nape and Richard pouts cutely and he blinks and Danielle shyly looked away when he did that "S- stop doing that..." Danielle mumbled softly as she hides her face behind her brown fringe with a pink highlight.

Before they part ways, Richard held Danielle's wrist and Danielle blushes "Wait" Richard smiles as he pulled out his phone "Can we exchange numbers? So when you got bored or something you can message me."  
Danielle doesn't mind as she didn't hesitate to give her number to Richard.
"I'll get going now. See you I guess?" Danielle said 
"Yeah sure, bye!" Richard said as they separate ways.

During lunchbreak, Danielle is with her friends Catherine and Aqua. Catherine is Danielle's best friend since 2nd grade while Aqua is Catherine's friend when they were in 2nd year high school and Catherine introduced Aqua to Danielle. They noticed Danielle is too busy in her phone as Aqua's nosey side slips when she took a sneak peek at Danielle's phone 
"Who's Richard...?"Aqua asks while wiggling her eyebrows and smirking as Catherine gasps
"Danny? You have a boyfriend?! Why didn't tell us?! I thought we were your friends why did you kept this as a secret?!" Catherine said
"What? No! I just met this guy yesterday because of Bryan and nope he's not my boyfriend. Sheesh..." Danielle blushes embarrassingly.
"Really?" Aqua giggles "But you're blushing!"
"It's because you guys are making me feel embarrassed." Danielle points out
"And all the time you were smiling while texting though. We never saw you smile like that before unless you have a new crush~!" Catherine teases as Danielle blushes more
"Shut up! I'm not smiling!" Danielle defended herself as her phone vibrates and she enthusiastically checks her phone and it was Richard and she uncontrollably smiles as she read his message mentally 

'Do you have plans for later?' Richard texted and Danielle smiles and she noticed her two besties are smirking at her 
"Oh right she is not smiling, am I right, Cat?" Aqua said full of irony
"Oh totally." Catherine agrees to Aqua's sarcasm as Danielle shakes her head and replied to Richard
'I think I'm free today. Why?" Danielle texted back and then she put her phone down on on the table and she took a sip on her iced coffee then her phone vibrates again and it was Richard messaged her and Aqua immediately snatched Danielle's phone and read Richard's message.
"Hey!" Danielle blushes and she tried to reach her phone from Aqua and Aqua giggles 
"Ooooh! He wants to hang out with you! At the arcade!" Aqua giggles
"Reply to him!" Catherine giggles 
"Yeah sure!" Aqua replies as Danielle and Danielle sighs in defeat. 
"I can't believe you guys..." she sighs 

After a long day of school, Catherine and Aqua with Danielle are walking down the hallway, getting their stuffs from their locker as Danielle phone's rings.
"Oooohh looks like Richard is calling her~!" Aqua giggles and Catherine looked at them with tired eyes 
"Look it's my mom calling me..." Danielle said as she answers the call. "Hey mom."
"Danny, Richard is here, he's waiting for you 'coz he doesn't know they way to the arcade." Danielle's mom said through the phone as Danielle's eyes widened and she blushes brightly red and Aqua and Catherine giggles 
"O- okay... tell him I'm on my way home.." Danielle whispered but Aqua and Catherine heard her then Danielle immediately ended  the call and she looked at her two friends 
"Oooh suitor alert!"  Aqua giggles as Catherine nodded eagerly and Danielle's face is red like a tomato and she grabbed her messenger bag and her headphones 
"Wh- Whatever! I'm going home! Sheesh...!" Danielle said as she blasts Avril Lavigne songs on her way home.
