Chapter 7: Skye

(Year 2014)

A new school year has come as Danielle, Aqua and Catherine checked for their new classes. Finally, last year of high school is here. 
"I'm in class B" Aqua said
"Really? I'm in class C." Catherine said.
Danielle is looking at her class and she cussed "For fuck's sake..." 
"Why? What's wrong?" Catherine asks
"I'm in class A..." Danielle said.
"Wow! Congrats!" Aqua cheered.
"No, you don't get it..." Danielle said
"Why? Aren't you happy to be in Class A? I mean, that is the highest class though." Catherine said.
"It's not like that, but..." Danielle points a name and they read it.
"Demetria?!" the two gasps. 
"Well, will you look at that." A voice said and the three looked at her. "Looks like we're classmates, Danielle." Demetria faked smile. "I'm so excited to be your new bestfriend!" she clings on Danielle's arms.
"Get off of me!" Danielle escapes from Demetria "And just to be clear, we are not friends, we never became friends and we will never ever be friends. I am so confused because how come you became in Class A because you have a bird brain." Danielle said as she crossed her arms.
"I was about to ask you the same thing because people in class A are popular and cool unlike you." Demetria said "Ooops! My bad, I shouldn't be so mean to you because this incoming school year, we will be classmates again! Oh, I need to go now because I have to meet up with Richard. Bye!" Demetria walks out and she flips her hair as Danielle groaned in frustration. 
"This will be the longest school year ever..." Danielle sighs

On the first day of school, she already expected that this will be a bad day but it is the worst. She sees the classroom like a jungle. People are so noisy, throwing paper airplanes, laughing out loudly as Danielle decided to sit at the back corner. 'Am I in the right classroom...?' Danielle said in her mind as she took a seat and she decided to put on her headphones and listened to Knives and Pens by Black Veil Brides. The noise stopped as a student walks in and they are looking at him and they start to whisper. That student has a messy hair and also had an emo fashion and he first seated next to Demetria.
"Eww don't sit next to me!" Demetria rudely said "Go sit next to her!" She pointed Danielle and the student did sit next to Danielle. 
Danielle was not paying attention since her headphones are on and she is looking outside the window, watching the leaves fall down and then she saw the reflection of that student and she took a quick glimpse of him. He also pulls out his earphones and he plugged it in on his phone and he listens to Greenday. This caught her attention as she slowly takes off her headphones and her curiosity hits her. Danielle keeps on looking at him and that student caught Danielle looking which made Danielle blush and she looked away.
'Shit that was awkward...' she said inside her mind but she can't help it. She finds him mysterious. 

Though all the class, Danielle and that mysterious student are not talking to each other but Danielle has the urge to talk to him as lunch break comes and Danielle took her courage.
"Umm..." Danielle spoke as that student looked at her. "Do you wanna grab lunch together...?" Danielle shyly asks. This is the first time that Danielle did this.
The student looked behind to make sure that Danielle is talking to him "You're talking to me...?" he asked and Danielle nodded in response.
"Y- yeah if that's okay to you?" Danielle shyly asks.
"I mean... Sure I guess?" he responded nicely then when they were on their way to the cafeteria, Danielle again took her courage to break the awkward silence "So... you were listening to Greenday too?" Danielle asks.
"Ahh yeah. That's my favourite band." he smiles as Danielle's eyes widened. 
"Really? Well I listen to them but My Chemical Romance is my favourite." Danielle smiles.
"Really? That's cool!" he smiles back as his tooth gap shows "What other bands do you listen?"
"I listen to Black Veil Brides, Sleeping With Sirens, Paramore..." Danielle said and she pulls out her phone and showed her playlist "... and much more." Danielle said 
"Wow, it's rare for a girl in our school to listen to bands like that." he said and they bought food in the cafeteria and find a seat. "Funny we've been talking but I haven't asked your name yet." he giggles.
"Right." Danielle giggles as well "I'm Danielle." Danielle introduced herself and she held out her hand.
"Skye." Skye replied and he shakes hand with Danielle. Then Aqua and Catherine found Danielle 
"Hey Danielle!" the two girls said 
"Oh, good timing, Skye I'd like you to meet my two besties; Catherine and Aqua. And guys, meet Skye." Danielle introduced
"Hi.." Skye shyly said as the two waves at him.
"We thought we're going to see you spending lunch time with Demetria." Catherine said.
"Hell no, I would rather eat lunch alone than hanging out with her." Danielle said.
"Demetria? Is that the girl who is petite?" Skye asks.
"Err... yeah." Danielle said "The girl with a nasty attitude."
"Yeah, 'coz a while ago, I was supposed to sit next to her then she made me move to the seat next to you like as if I have a contagious disease." Skye said.
"Welp, that's Demetria. You should stay away from her or else you will be her one of her boys collection." Danielle said.

Throughout the whole day of school, Danielle and Skye are getting along with each other as the day ended. Danielle stood up from her seat and Skye calls her, "Wait, Danielle."
Danielle looked at Skye "yeah?"
"Can I have your number? Y'know, for school purposes?" Skye asks. Danielle smiles and she giggles.
"Is it really for school purposes only?" She jokingly said as Skye blushes "Hey I'm just kidding!" 
"Of course for school only! What else would it be?" Skye said "And I have a girlfriend though...." He said but his tone doesn't  sound like he's proud about it.
Danielle's smile fades when he said he has a girlfriend "Ohh... well don't make your girlfriend kill me when you got my number though." Danielle nervously chuckles.
"Sure." Skye said as they exchanged numbers.

Then, the three girls are walking down the hallway "That Skye guy looks scary..." Aqua said.
"Huh, you think so?" Danielle said.
"Like he is too dark..." Aqua commented.
"C'mon, that's why he became friends with Danielle. They have the same tastes and they get along unlike Richard." Catherine said. "And I think he is better than Richard."
"Why is Richard involved in this conversation?" Danielle asks.
"Well firstly you two get along unlike Richard, plus, you two don't like Demetria, and you two look perfect together!" Catherine giggles.
"Sorry to burst your bubble but..." Danielle said and she paused when Skye passed by with his girlfriend 
"Bye Danielle" Skye waves while his girlfriend's arms are wrapped around Skye's arm.
"... as you can see, he has a girlfriend." Danielle continues. "And, all I can see to Skye is just a friend. Don't add any malice on it."
