Chapter 5: She's an Actress

Danielle and Catherine are in the library for their school project and Catherine asks Danielle about Richard "So, how are you and Richard?" she asks softly since they're in the library. 
"Well he's a bit busy because y'know, he's a college student remember?" Danielle said. "By the way, where's Aqua?" Danielle wondered as Catherine saw Aqua coming with their classmate, Demetria.
"Wait, why's Aqua with Demetria?" Danielle groaned. Danielle dislikes Demetria because every time that she will have a crush on someone, it always ends up being Demetria's boyfriend. Demetria is Danielle's complete opposite. Since Danielle is an emo kind of girl, Demetria is girly miss goody-two-shoes and very feminine. 
"I hate her! She acts like she's a saint and she's an actress! She is so fake!" Danielle whispered yell and she crumpled the paper that she's holding, having the urge to throw it to her.
"Woah, Danny. Chill! Richard's not here to catch your heart!" Catherine joked, trying to calm Danielle down but Danielle gave Catherine a death stare.
"Never mention Richard's name in front of Demetria or else it will end up to Demetria being Richard's girlfriend." Danielle said 
"Right..." Catherine gulps.
"What's she going to steal from me next? Aqua?" Danielle said as her tone slightly rises up which made the librarian shushed her and Danielle tries to calm down.
"Danielle, don't be too harsh on Demetria. Maybe Aqua's just helping Demetria out with the school project." Catherine gave the benefit of the doubt to Demetria.
"I don't trust her!" Danielle whispered yell and she groaned. 

Danielle can still remember how Demetria betrayed her. Demetria is Danielle, Aqua and Catherine's old friend. Because she was Danielle's friend, she opened up having a crush on their 2nd year high school classmate named Pitch. On last year's acquaintance party Danielle took all the courage to confess to Pitch that she has a crush on him but Pitch rejected her on that night. Then, after the night of acquaintance party, she heard that Demetria and Pitch were dating despite the fact that Demetria is aware that Danielle likes Pitch. Half of the year of their 2nd year high school, Danielle doesn't had a crush on Pitch then she starts to like a guy from the other class named Arthur then she told that to Aqua and Catherine then Demetria heard it then Demetria broke up to Pitch then started dating Arthur after knowing that Danielle likes Arthur. Danielle thinks Demetria is doing it all on purpose and she intentionally piss and breaks Danielle's heart but she has no proof and doesn't know the reason why. And every time Danielle confronts Demetria, Demetria plays the victim role. 

"Danielle? Danielle." Catherine calls as Danielle snaps from reality "You're zoning out again"
"Ahh sorry... just imagining some ways how to kill that bitch..." Danielle said.
"Who?" a soft voice said and Danielle flinched when she saw Demetria behind her with Aqua.
"For good god's sake, don't show up out of nowhere!" Danielle had the urge to shout at Demetria but they're in the library.
"Oh by the way, Danielle, Catherine, Demetria's gonna join us in lunchtime." Aqua said and Danielle looked at Aqua in disbelief.
"Are you fucking kidding me-?!" Danielle slammed the book on the table.

During lunchtime. Danielle stayed silent as well as Catherine. Only Aqua is keeping Demetria entertained. Aqua is quite naïve and didn't know that Danielle and Demetria had some issues with each other or maybe she forgot about it. Catherine is uncomfortable between the silent tension and Danielle taps her black painted nails on the table and she did a loud crunch while eating Pringles indicating that she is not happy with Demetria.
"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be with Pitch or Arthur?" Danielle bluntly asked Demetria.
"Oh umm... Pitch and I broke up month ago and I broke up with Arthur yesterday." Demetria said as Danielle crushed the piece of Pringles on her hand.
"You think boys are just like your piece of clothing huh?" Danielle said 
"Danielle...!" Catherine tried to calm Danielle
"Just stating facts" Danielle said as she eats another piece of Pringles
"I know you're still bitter about Pitch and Arthur. I'm sorry but I can't turn them down that time." Demetria defends herself "I'll make things up for you. Let's go to the mall after class and hang out." Demetria smiles as Danielle rolled her eyes .
"Come on, Danielle. Give her a chance." Aqua whispered "Give her the benefit of the doubt."
Danielle rolled her eyes.
"Fine..." she said just for the sake of Aqua to stop making her feel guilty but deep inside, she doesn't want to hang out with Demetria.
