"I won!" Peter cheers as he looks at the pictures that his sister took of the place that she stayed the night in.
"Let me see yours than." Alex rolls her eyes at her brother's antics but she quickly stops as she sees the place that he spend the night. "Dang." She shakes her head. "What do you want?"
They had often bet the same thing, it had become their thing. They didn't particularly laid money in a pot - so to speak - no, the winner could give the loser a task of their own choosing. Peter had cleaned the toilets at different schools and Alex had to do some horrendous things that she didn't want to remember. After all, apologizing was not her thing.
"You have to answer a question honestly." She raises an eyebrow. This was different.
"Alright?" She takes a sip of her coffee.
"You see, I've noticed some tension between you and Jasper." She rolls her eyebrows.
"That's not a question."
"Shush, I'm coming to that." He jokingly frowns at her and she looks at him with a blank expression. "Why'd you go home with Fiona if you could have Jasper?" She coughs as the coffee went down the wrong pipe.
"Oh my God," she chuckles. "I couldn't have Jasper, I don't want him. The only tension that you saw because I was frustrated." Her brother raises an eyebrow.
"Did Fiona take care of that?" She laughs at his cheeky expression.
"Several times."
"Better than Elisa?" He questions further.
"You had one question and I answered two. So now I have one." She cheekily replies and he huffs.
"Why'd you go with that Mara girl?" He shrugs.
"She seemed like fun. Besides, I knew she had a grand place. She showed pictures." Alex eyes widen as she stands up but Peter had already ran away.
"You bastard!" She exclaims. "You cheated!"

Alex had enjoyed the night before but was glad that it was just for the night. She had lied to her brother and they both knew it. She was starting to have feelings for Jasper and she didn't like it one bit. She made it her personal mission to make sure that he didn't like her like that so that her feelings wouldn't grow. That was exactly why she invited him over.
She knew that it would make him confused and she was going to show him just what she was made of.
"Where did we end last time?" He cheekily asks as he opens the books on the kitchen table.
"Yeah," her brother pipes in from the hallway. "How did it go?" He looks right past the wall at his sister and she glares at him.
"It went alright. Bye!" She growls and Jasper raises an eyebrow. The door slams shut and she looks at the scribbles in front of her.
"Just alright?" Jasper asks and she looks up, right in his eyes. A questioning look upon his face. She almost needs to confess that it was even better than she had imagined, but that was not the reason that he was here.
"Meh." She replies and a pang of hurt flashes across his face but he quickly covers it up.
"Same." She quickly looks down at the books and laptop to make sure that he doesn't see her face. "You done with your part?" She raises an eyebrow as she looks back up at him. "Well I'm done with mine." He shrugs as he passes her some papers and she frowns as she quickly skims through it. He had even done one of her religions.
"You don't have to do that." She mutters and he leans over.
"What?"
"Doing my work." She pushes the papers back. "I'm more than capable of doing my own." Her voice sparky and he shrugs.
"I know." She huffs before going back to her part and ignoring him as he looks around the room. He sees a photobook and walks over it.
"Don't." She says without looking up and he looks at her.
"Or what? You're going to be even more irritated?" He snorts before opening it and looking through the pictures. He notices how her jaw clenches but she doesn't reply as she makes notes for her part of the homework. "Who's this?" He holds up the book and she looks up. Her eyes flash across the picture and her whole stance falters.
"That's private." She mutters before getting up and trying to grab the book from him. "Give me." She demands and he holds it up high. She growls at him and a flash of black covers her eyes which scare Jasper lightly. He hands the book over and she runs upstairs. He hears a safe open and close before she comes back downstairs and grabs a drink before sitting back behind her laptop.
"Why was it here if you can't even stand to look at it?" He asks as he sits down and her eyes flicker up to him and a glare makes him raise his hands in defense. "Just a question. Nothing personal."
"Peter must've grabbed it." Alex replies before downing the rest of the drink. "He likes to reminisce the better times." He notices the bitterness as she says the words better and he feels a pang of hurt in his heart. Something had happened that made sure that she didn't like those times. He was way to curious to let it slide.
"Was it because of the man by your side?" Her head snaps up and he gulps as he sees the angry look on her face. "Sorry," he immediately says. "That's private." He mocks her words and the look of anger changes into one of hatred mixed with irritation. Jasper was making it easier for to make her like him less.
"Yes it is. We're here to do homework." She snaps as she slams her hands on the table and stands up. "And if you can't do that, you can very well go home." He frowns as he looks at her. Something was going on.
"How come you haven't finished your part?" He softly asks her.
"Because I went out to party with my brother." She explains, rolling her eyes. As if she had to give him a reason, no she did not.
"Is that why you came home at different times?" Her eyes widen as she looks at him.
"Are you stalking me?" Her voice loud and he stands up.
"I happened to be at the border with Emmett!" He tries to keep his voice low but he had trouble to do exactly that. There was something about the girl in front of him that made him angry and confused at the same time. She looks to the ground before looking up.
"Here is my part." She throws a few papers to him. "Go home." She points towards the door.
"Alex.." his voice soft as he takes a step towards her.
"No Jasper," she turns around quickly and he looks at her clenched jaw. She knew exactly what to say so that he would leave her alone. "Go home. Or to someone else's home if you like that. That is what I'm doing at least." Another flash of hurt cross his eyes and he nods softly before grabbing his books and leaving the house. Staying calm the whole time.
