Mei, Melissa and Izuku strolled through the residential area that Izuku had lived in his entire life as he recounted the days he spent playing as a child. Izuku spoke in such a way that even the most ridiculous things he said sounded true. Like him getting beat up all the time. Regardless of the strength he had displayed earlier, Izuku spoke, walked, and acted like an absolute cinnamon roll. Who could bring themselves beat up a smaller, more adorable version of that.

Mei was actually wrapped in a warm, black cloak that Izuku had seemed to pull out of his ass, but considering her shirt was hanging off her frame, the cloak was appreciated.

"The fact that she said yes, still blows my mind." Izuku chuckled, having wrapped up the tale of how the date he had been on came to pass.

"Please" Melissa shook her head with a smirk on her face.

"Yeah, she even bought me a huge steak for dinner tonight! It was like the size of my face!!!"

Mei's stomach growled at the thought of a steak. She hadn't eaten anything since the cup of noodles she had earlier. Mei glanced to her companions in front of her. They had stopped and looked at her, concerned.

"You haven't had dinner yet, have you?" Izuku asked.

"Ya heard that, huh?" Mei chuckled, a light blush spreading across her cheeks.

"No, I haven't." She answered.

"Well that settles it, I'll have to whip something up once we get to my apartment." Izuku spoke matter of factly.

"You never offered to cook for me!!" Melissa pouted.

"Fine, fine, I'll cook for you next week, when we start at U.A!"

Mei's mind was flooded with thoughts of food and her stomach rumbled constantly.

Mei was drooling over the plate that sat in front of her. It was piled high with shrimp fried rice. The rice was a golden yellow, the onions and peas were shining from the sesame oil and jumbo shrimp littered the plate. This was odd to her. Every fried rice dish she had eaten before never had this much of the protein. It spoke to incredible, if not reckless generosity on Izuku's part, though Mei wasn't going to complain. It had been weeks since she had a proper meal.

Izuku and his mother had tag teamed for this dish and it was clear to Mei that it wasn't the first time they had done that. Mei wolfed down three bowls full before belching.

"Thanks!! It was great" She sighed.

Before, her stomach had hurt from hunger, now it was distended and aching from gluttony. Raw, unfiltered gluttony. This wasn't new to Mei either. The cycle of starving and binging. It wasn't a matter of money or a mental delusion. It was laziness, plain and simple.

Consider the following, Mei could spend fifteen minutes making and eating breakfast or she could spend those fifteen minutes working through another baby. To Mei, the answer was clear.

"I can't believe it, Izuku" His mother spoke through giggles.

"Two girls in one night? You dog!!"

Izuku spit his drink clear across the table.

"Gross" Mei thought.

"Mom!!!" Izuku screamed.

Izuku's mother burst into laughter, even doubling over and rolling for a while, as if she had been holding onto that joke since they got there.
