MATTHEW'S STORY (2ND PERSON)

Friday, September 28th

This morning.

You wake up for another day of school, about to do the same routine every weekday. Take a shower and wash your hair, dry yourself and your hair, brush your teeth, go back inside your bedroom, turn on some loud pop music to prepare yourself on continuing a fake image for school, and get dressed. You're ready for survival.

You have lost almost fifty friends on Facebook and got blocked off from Parrot Spirit in one day. Even your little bro stopped being your friend by blocking you. Your best friend since third grade also blocked you. So, you deactivated Bad Twin Matteasus until this situation, that Tricia posted about, blows over. After that, you got a call from Tricia.

Tricia wanted to know if it's true that you f***** Mo'Niqua in the woods. You asked her where she got that information from. She told you from her best friend.

You know who Mo'Niqua is. It's Barbara Steward. The new girl who little bro met after saving her from the cheerleaders.

At first, she didn't seem like the type of person who goes out, and hides herself from other people, especially her peers due to constant bullying and isolation. She also seems like a church girl, who doesn't cuss or fight people for attention. She's humble. You can tell she's struggling with life just by how she stands, dresses, talks and looks at others. She's a complete saint.

You go downstairs to eat breakfast. You make yourself Nutella-spread toasts, with an apricot and orange juice. Little bro is eating Honey Nut Cheerios with silk, not looking at you or talking to you. It's so awkward that mom and dad make awkward small talks through the table. You know your little bro is great at throwing shade and being petty, but he only does it to make dry jokes and sarcasms. You start to miss that, that you cry inside. He blocks you in real life too.

You drive both of you to school. The car is dead silent. He listens to Heavy Metal through his headphones and chills on his Samsung in the passenger seat. It drives you so crazy that you turn on the radio. Kendrick Lamar's song "Swimming Pools (Drank)" comes on. You forgot that the radio was still on Hot 92.3 from yesterday, after dropping Barbara off. Although, you do listen to trap and drill in parties with the athletes.

Tricia's best friend since kindergarten, Robyn Robinson, the cheerleader who may be obsessed with little bro. You're thinking about going after her, but non-violently.

This afternoon.

You're eating lunch with teammates, who give you the cold shoulder after letting you sit with them. You don't say anything, you just eat. You glance at Robyn socializing with her friends.

After eating lunch, you call out Robyn, separated from the VIP tables.

"You told Tricia that I messed with Barbara. Where did you hear this? Every athlete in here is on me because of you," you tell her, upset with her about this. You didn't want people to know.

"Well, it's true, right? Your little bro told me after chemistry on Wednesday. I believe him. There's no wonder he smacked you. You deserved it, Matthew," she justifies why you deserves this.

"Well, I don't know where he got this from. It may not be true," you knowingly lie.

"He told me that she told him that you two messed around while you were supposed to bring her back during camping. He didn't say names, but he said his brother, who is you. Precious was one of his friends. He called her 'she', meaning it was either Precious or that Chinese girl."
