pov of daisy diggory

After some time of staring into the night sky, Draco thought it was best if we parted ways.

"Daisy," he whispers as I turn back to face him after starting down the hallway, "I'm gonna change, okay?"

We were standing about 7 feet apart. I take a few steps, and slowly our eyes met. I placed my hands on his neck and admired his pale skin. His platinum blonde hair was hanging over his forehead, nearly covering his eyes. I take my finger and brushed a piece of his hair aside.

"What do you mean change?" I hummed, giving him a soft smile to show my empathy. "All you have to do is become the real you," jamming my finger into his chest. He grabs my hand, gently, and holds it to his heart.

His grasp is soft, making up for the icy temperature of his hand. The rings on his fingers press into the skinny bones of my small fingers.

From the window, the moonlight is bright, our only source of light. The corridors are so quiet you can hear our breaths, nearly in sync.

Draco's cheeks are pink, nipped from the cold air of the hallways. His fare skin reflects the moonlight ever so slightly, leaving his face to be glowing.

"Miss Diggory, you'll be the death of me," he jokes. His stare sends daggers into mine, leaving me speechless.

Ruining the moment my phone starts to buzz rapidly. I reach into my bag, and Cedric is calling, but that's not what's alarming- it was 11:25.

"Oh my goodness! My brother's probably worried sick!" I whine. "I'm so sorry I need to be on my way," but before I can head down the hallway once more, Draco grabs my face and pecks me on the lips.

"Good night Dayday," he whispers, pressing his forehead against mine. His hands melt down to my shoulders, down to my arms, then my hands as I turn around. Finally,  he let's go, but our gaze doesn't break until my neck can't twist any further.

After I'm sure I'm out of Draco's sight, I pause. The butterflies in my stomach have fluttered up to my head and made me feel all mushy.

I couldn't believe the night I had just experienced. Draco was different, and I loved it more than anything.

His touch was soft, like a blanket.

And his eyes, mesmerizing.

And boy his lips, slim and gentle.

I payed attention to his every move and replayed it in my head.

The way he gazed at me while he spoke.

The fascination in his expression as he pointed to all the glistening stars.

The way his hands moved, holding mine, holding himself up, touching my face.

Touching.

I craved his touch.

I craved him.

Interrupting my thoughts my phone begins to buzz once more. I reach into the basket and answer. Immediately, yelling comes from the other end of the line.
