The Dome.

Scared

Erin's POV:

Everyone finished their food and we ended up watching a film before going to sleep. Except I couldn't.

The letter Julian left me said that we were in grave danger and that we had to figure out an escape route. He also noted something about the book not being what it seems, which was completely confusing. It made me anxious not knowing what to do. Plus there was the whole thing about there not being any more blocks which brought the question to my mind...

If there aren't any other blocks..then where is everyone else we've seen in passing hallways as Julian goes to leave? And where the hell is Julian?

I sat in bed next to Taehyung who was sound asleep, trying to find clues in the book Julian left me, I figured that since I couldn't see anything in the light, maybe something would show up in the dark. But alas, nothing showed up at all.

I huffed in frustration before sliding the letter Julian left me inside of the book and then placing it safely inside my suitcase, making sure to zip it up before laying down.

I stared at the ceiling for a while, trying to pull together a list in my mind of everything I knew to be a fact,

There aren't any other blocks

We have to escape out of here soon

It's coming close to four years in the dome

No one can see that letter

I have to act like everything is okay

I'm laying in a bed with Taehyung who's now for some reason not asleep...wait why isn't he asleep?

Taehyung: "Are you alright? Why aren't you asleep?" he asks me worriedly.

Erin: "I can't seem to get to sleep" I lied before Taehyung moved so he could bring me closer to him.

Taehyung: "Something on your mind?" he asked, twirling a strand of my hair in his hand.

Erin: "My hair is still wet, you best keep that bandage dry" I reply making him laugh.

Taehyung: "I promise I will" he says chuckling whilst holding me tighter before his tone turned serious, "but seriously answer my question, what's on your mind?"

Erin: "You" I say half lying whilst smiling at him and stroking his hair out of his face.

Taehyung: "Oh-uh thanks" he says nervously

Erin: "You're welcome I guess" I reply laughing slightly at his embarrassment, "I'm scared" I say before realising what I said, causing me to tense slightly.

Taehyung notices and sits up slightly before hugging me tight.

Taehyung: "What of?" he says worried.

Erin: "Do you think we're all gonna get out of here?" I ask him now, showing my true emotions.

Taehyung stays silent for a while pondering on how he should respond before he finally gives me an answer.
