Zoning Out

Erin's POV:

Jungkook and I are hiding in the bubble together away from the others, I suspect Cody won't come looking for me here if she wants to find the rest of the guys first so I decide to just sit on a bench and chill out, Eventually I feel Jungkook sit next to me and turn to look at his giddy face.

Jungkook: "I like this game" he says excitedly

Erin: "Me too" I say in agreement, laughing at his mini outburst if happiness

Jungkook: "Do you think they will find us quickly?" he asks cautiously

Erin: "Not at all, we can just chill out for a bit and wait plus even if they did find us, there's no telling if they could catch us" I say, shrugging.

It's seemingly quiet for a while before I hear Jungkook come out with a weird noise, causing me to look at him weird.

Erin: "Uhh you alright there?" I ask him, confused yet slightly amused.

Jungkook: "Oh yeah I'm fine, just a little bored" he says before seemingly zoning out.

From being with the boys for nearly 6 months, I had learnt a lot about them and their weird habits. Jungkook zoning out though was funny, he looked like a deer in headlights, but at the same time having an inner conversation with himself whilst keeping his mouth open, exactly like he was now.

Erin: "Jungkook? You okay there?" I asked, waving my hand in front of his face trying to get his attention.

He didn't respond at first but after a couple seconds he seemed to snap back to reality and back to talking with me.

Jungkook: "Sorry what did you say?" he asked me apologetically

Erin: "I said are you excited for your birthday, it's in three days" I asked him again, smiling.

Jungkook's eyes lit up when he heard about his birthday.

Jungkook: "It's my birthday soon yesss!" he said now pumping his fists in the air

Erin: "What did you forget about your own birthday or something?" I asked, laughing

Jungkook went a little red in embarrassment but quickly covered it up, slick.

Jungkook: "My turn to ask questions" he coughed out.

Erin: "Uhm okay?" I said with caution whilst still smiling at him

Jungkook: "You and Taehyung no?" he said raising his eyebrows

My face grew slightly warm at understanding what he was insinuating. But I decided to act none the wiser and put on my acting face.

Erin: "Yep, we're good friends, kind of like me and you" I said nudging him as I rocked side to side on the bench.

Jungkook: "Not what I meant" he said slightly smirking

Erin: "What I interpreted it as, so I guess it's technically still right" I said faking a smile.

Jungkook: "Can I ask you a question about Cody?" he asked me cautiously
