RUN

Cody's POV:

Taehyung and I had just left Erin and ran back into the bedroom where everyone was getting on their outfits Erin had left for us on each of our beds. Toby was asleep in Jungkook's bed still, already dressed for when we were going to escape, recently in The Dome it had been colder than it had ever been before, mainly because it was winter but also because apparently it was snowing like mad above the surface, Toby had told us that when training, the guards get to go up to the surface to go and collect supplies, and two days ago they all went up and the entire surface was covered in layers of snow.

Because of this, we're now all wrapped up in countless sets of layers, big coats, fluffy jumpers, layers of socks and gloves along with scarves and hats. By now everyone in the room was nearly ready to go whilst I finish lacing up a pair of thick black boots Erin left for me, for me I didn't particularly enjoy when it was cold which is why I didn't ever invest in winter clothes before we were taken, but my best friend since 11 Erin, the weirdo always loved it, she enjoyed playing in the snow like a dog catching a ball, or an elephant in the mud, I suppose it made sense though, she'd always loved anything cold, plus her body was always freezing to the touch, which is why the boots on my feet weren't mine, they were a bit snug too, my feet being a size bigger than Erin's but they were warm, and that's all that mattered.

Soon enough, everyone was ready and we all went back to the living room, Yoongi, Namjoon and Jin all going over to the screen in the middle of the room and using it to freeze the cameras so it looked like nothing was out of the ordinary to anyone else, anyone else being the guards and Jeriko. The night shift was never a thing for the guards luckily, because the doors to our rooms were always sealed, meaning no one could escape even if they wanted to..that is until now.

The guys finished setting up the cameras and we all walked over to the bags, each of the guys grabbing there's whilst I got mine and Erin's, we still had the suitcase left of medical supplies though and a backpack of Erin's which she had instructed us to not touch for some strange reason, so we decided that once we came back and got Toby we'd collect those and run back, hopefully meeting Erin on the way.

And so we set off.

As we ran down the corridor, we soon came to realise that we were in the pitch black and that running may no longer be an option. So of course the boys looked to more for directions, we had started to slow down as well as we turned around corners and passed through doorways, always making sure to check everyone was with us. My mind jumped back to Erin, and wondered if she had to have run through the dark too only for it to be jolted back by the sound of Namjoon's voice.

Namjoon: "Cody? Did you hear me?"

Cody: "No sorry, what we're you saying?"

Namjoon: "I asked if we're here yet?" he asked, panting a little.

Cody: "It's right down this corridor and to the right then we're there, does anyone have the time?" I asked, trying to keep to a strict schedule so we wouldn't be late.

Jimin: "I have my watch in my pocket but I need a light in order to read it" he whispered.

There were murmers in response until it fizzled out into silence, all of us stood in what I took to be a circle before I caught the horrifying sight of Jin's face being lit up slightly from underneath.

Jin: "I have a small torch from the kitchen, it's not very bright, still shows off my handsome face though?" he said whilst chuckling.

Yoongi: "Why didn't you mention the torch before? We could've used it instead of running around cluelessly"

Jin: "I forgot about it til now, anyways we're not clueless, Cody knows exactly where we are but let's stop dordling shall we? We need to be quick"

The group all agree and we start to set off again, the small light of Jin's torch making it easier as I lead the way. The corridor was long and whilst most of us ran at the same pace, Jungkook had managed to get ahead of us. Each one of his mighty strides were worth at least two of mine. With the slightest of effort he out ran the rest of the group, barely breaking a sweat and not panting in the least, he eventually reached the corner and leaned against the brick wall waiting for the rest of us to catch up, grinning.

Cody: "We get it Kookie, you can run, save it though why don't you? We're gonna need all your energy for when we run out of here" I say laughing before hiding the boys around the corner and into a nook in the wall, where we could place our bags.

We all run back towards the bedroom, it being much more familiar and seemingly quicker, before we grab the last two remaining bags, a couple blankets and Toby who's now fully awake, energised and ready for us to go. Then once again we start on our mission, sprinting up and down corridors, whilst making sure everyone that should be here is. Eventually we make it back to Block D, the door being the only thing between us and our escape.

Now all we have to do is wait for Erin.

~*Time Skip*~

We wait for a while, but with no sign of Erin, everyone is seemingly on edge as we all stand around Jimin looking at his watch every couple of minutes to check the time. Jin's flashlight is close to running out, with the torch sometimes flickering. We waited for what felt like ages before the silence of the group was broke by an unknown voice.

Only it wasn't unknown.
