POV: Third person

Zak was spinning around in his little spinnie chair, having the time of his life as Darryl sat beside him in his chair, doing Zak's homework.

"Why am I doing your homework again?" Darryl queried as he looked up from the sheets of paper and instead at the smaller teen before him. "Because, you're way smarter than me and if I don't get it right then I get detention!"
Darryl rolled his eyes at the raven haired boy, not that he noticed considering he was twirling around like a mad man. Darryl grew frustrated since they were supposed to be working on Zak's behavioural issues, his manners, his respect, but instead they were doing the exact opposite. Sadly Darryl was beaten before he could even open his mouth to complain about it

"You wanna go and hang out somewhere?" Darryl turned around and saw Zak no longer spinning in his chair and instead patently looking at the brunette boy. Darryl stammered a bit;

'Go out somewhere? Like go outside of this house and go do something? Is he insane!?'

"Z-Zak, I don't really think-" The other leaned forward and put his hand over Darryl's mouth to shut him up. "Your dad won't find out, trust me. It'll be fine." Darryl blushed at the physical touch, he looked down at Zak's hand and then into his brown eyes, he wish he could search through the chocolate coated orbs longer, but Zak shut his eyes as he pulled away with a smile. "I'm taking your silence as a yes!"

He pulled Darryl up and out of his chair by the hand and practically dragged him out of the room, they ran down stairs and ran pass Zak's father and sister just chilling in the kitchen.
"Where are you two going?!" His sister yelled out, snuggling up to her coffee for warmth. "We'rejustgoingsomewhereyoudontneedtoworryaboutitokaybye!" The young teen yelled back, almost too quickly for his words to make sense before he slammed the front door shut. "They're so gonna get together." Zane commented as he nudged his daughter's shoulder, her nodding in agreement.

Zak stopped violently pulling the poor boy once they got to the side walk in front of the house. Darryl had to readjust himself before the other pulled him along once again, this time more gently and at a slower pace.

Zak swung their conjoined hands together as he led his friend down a very unfamiliar street. "Uh, Zak? You're um, y-you're still holding my hand..." Darryl nervously tugged at the collar of his shirt, a nice plain black formal shirt that created only a small amount of warmth. The younger boy looked down at their tangled hands and simply shrugged, making a small noise of acknowledgement.

"Shouldn't we, not, be holding hands?"

'Why on Earth am I so nervous? There's nothing to be nervous about.'

"Well, friends hold hands all the time so I don't know why we can't." The emerald eyed boy tilted his head to the side in confusion. "They do?" Zak hummed in response, shooting Darryl an even bigger smile than the one he always wears. "I've never had a friend before so I wouldn't have known." The shorter of the two chuckled and looked over at Darryl, "Guess I'm your first then!" Darryl looked down at Zak and the tugging at the corner of his lips took over and created a small smile, he tried to stop it but there was no use. It wouldn't budge.

Zak squeezed his hand in an attempt to make the other feel more welcomed but it just caused him to squeak in alarm instead, leaving Zak in a laughing fit. "Oh my god damn! That was so adorable!" The raven haired boy stated as he wiped away a fake tear. "Language!"

They both walked together, making jokes and bantering about god knows what as Zak lead the way.

"Here it is! The perfect spot!" Zak lifted his arms up in excitement and triumph, bringing Darryl's left arm with him. They stood a few metres away from a small park that was nuzzled together between two houses, a dark and soothing forest in the back making the look of it all complete. There was a small plastic play area with a slide and a twirly go round, a set of swings sitting all alone close to it.

Zak excitedly ran towards the swings with Darryl still in his grasp. "I love this place! It's so calm and quiet, no one ever comes here too and that makes it all the better!"

Darryl looked around at the small setting, not recognising anything here.

"What is this?" Darryl pointed to the swings beside him, having no clue as to what it's purpose is. Zak gasped loudly, acting offended by the taller boy's question. "You don't know what swings are!? Hold on, lemme show you before I combust into thin air." Zak pulled away from Darryl's hands and placed both on his shoulders instead, leading the other to one of the closer swings and sitting him down. "Okay, you're gonna have to trust me on this, okay? I won't let anything happen. Also you might want to hold on to the chains." Zak explained, he went behind Darryl as the teen grabbed onto the chains that were on each side of him.

Without warning he was being gently pushed into the air, he barley even went far but he still flinched in surprised as both of his feet managed to no longer rest of the floor. This movement repeated a couple of times before Darryl came to a holt, Zak's hands stopping him from going any further backwards, which just sent shivers down Darryl's spine at the physical touch.

The younger teen plopped himself down on the swing beside the other. "Okay so try it yourself now, lean your legs forward and back to make yourself move, like this!" Zak does it himself, showing what Darryl was supposed to do, it was simple physics that he understood perfectly. He tried it himself, and it was more fun then he thought it would be, better now that he was in control and could just feel the breeze fly through his hair even faster. A smile formed on his face and soon after a chuckle escaped his lips, he was having a lot of fun with this.

The raven haired boy watched on as Darryl enjoyed himself, swinging back and forth peacefully.

'He looks so cute like this. I can't believe his parents never took him to a park, not once, what fucking idiots.'

Zak thought to himself, dazing off as he stared at Darryl, not noticing that the other was slowing down and had noticed him staring.
Zak snapped out of his thoughts as he realised he was gazed into Darryl's ender eyes. They both lingered just a bit longer, dazing off onto each others eyes.

'God his emerald eyes are so beautiful, I could just look into them all day.'

They smiled at each other softly, going into comfortable silence.

"So," Darryl pointed at the play set that stood ten metres away from them, "what's that?"
