"Helena's conceivement is similar to ours." Luke began gesturing to himself and Charles.

"It wasn't under the best circumstances." Charles added. "Okay, what's that supposed to mean?" Annabeth asked although she already had an idea for what the the twins meant.

Luke and Charles became slightly uncomfortable with Annabeth looking at them like they were her next opponent's to kill off.

"We weren't exactly planned." Charles  started.

Val scoffed, "I don't think any of us were 'exactly  planned'."

"Correction, none of us were planned. " Luke started, "our parents just wanted to have.." he paused quickly glancing at Val then to Charles and Helena who were now glaring at him. "..their fun time,  so here we are."

At the words fun time, Nico once again blushed, the red tint on his pale olive skin very visible.

The word's had no effect on Percy until he looked at Nico seeing the blush that was getting dark red by the second, then he too blushed understanding the meaning of the words 'fun time'.

Annabeth however was not fazed by those words, she was more focused on finding the truth. "Okay, how exactly did this 'fun time' happen?" Questioned Annabeth

"It's a very complicated story." Luke began.

"Umm, no it's not." Charles interfered.

Ignoring Charles, Luke went on, "that has so many little details and turns."

Helena turned to Charles with her brows drawn together and a look on his face that said 'what's he doing?' . "No it doesn't."

Ignoring her, Luke continued, "and we'll need a lot of your time for the whole story."

"No we don't, " Val spoke up. She turned to the present teens after shooting Luke a wierd and confused look which he effectively ignored. Val took a deep breath.

"According to all our parents, Luke and Charles being born was not a mistake, but their conceivement was a result of a mistake."

The present teens frowned at the statement. Percy - who was also frowning - felt Nico tense up beside him.

"Nico?" he whispered. "I'm fine" Nico replied with an uncomfortable smile.

Percy didn't question Nico more, even though he didn't believe that Nico was 'fine'. The Jiper couple  frowned, watching as Nico became tense and uncomfortable around Percy.

"What exactly happened?" Will asked feeling obligated to ask for his best friend who he was sure was beginning to doubt his relationship with Percy.

Val shifted uncomfortably, "umm, so... at that time, my parents were dating and...one day, they had this big argument, about one thing or another." Val paused.

Helena took over seeing as Val didn't know how to continue. "We don't really know about what.... they never told us."

"Yeah, so papá went to the underworld..just for a short while, just to clear his head."

"Dad also needed some time alone for himself, so he didn't go after Nico." Luke added. "Mum was also going through some things ..'family problems', she said..As we all know, she doesn't get along well with grandpa's wife."

"Her boyfriend at that time also broke up with her, because he thought she was keeping things from him. He was a regular mortal you see, and she couldn't just tell him she was a demigod and her real mother was a Greek goddess." Helena spoke up.

"That was probably her main problem back then." Val mused. Charles continued on, "So dad was miserable drinking alcohol alone in his cabin, mum was also miserable and wanting to be alone. She went to dad's cabin thinking he was somewhere with Nico. She wasn't told about dad's argument with Nico."

"They saw each other..and let's just say they decided to be miserable together." Luke added.

The present teens were quite, they didn't really know what to say. Will, Leo, and the Jiper couple turned to Nico all with sad expressions.

Annabeth looked down, fiddling with her palms and fingers in her lap. She felt guilty that she would do that in the future.

Nico was all tense now, sitting up from Percy. Percy frowned "Nico-"

"And Helena? How did she happen?" Nico asked.with a face void of emotion and ignoring Percy's plead.

"Don't you want to know how your relationship with dad turned out?" Charles asked. "I want to know how Valentina was conceived." Nico said firmly.

The future teens felt uncomfortable, not knowing how to answer. Finally Val sighed, "(In any circumstances, it's normal for a married couple to have a baby)."

The present teens excluding Nico frowned at the language Val used, confused about what she had said.

Nico faltered a bit, but still managed to keep his face void of emotion.

"(Married)?" Nico asked, his voice cracking.

Helena nodded, "(Yes, married). Because he wanted to take responsibility for mom's first pregnancy, he married her."

The present teens gasped at the thought of Percy marrying to Annabeth. It was really difficult for them to wrap their heads around that thought, because they had all gotten used to Percy and Annabeth being friends.

"But don't worry, this feels super ackward to say, but my parents never had sex after the twins conceivement."

Nico was furious, how could Helena say that when she was living proof of what was to happen between them.

"How could you say that? How could you say that when you are standing right here? How can I believe nothing happened, when you are standing right there?!" Nico replied harshly.

Helena took a deep breath thinking of what to say, "My dad loves Nico Di Angelo. The moment Nico came back from the underworld after their first big argument, my dad told him what happened between him and my mom. That was Nico's first heart break, first pain from love. That was his first break up. That was also the first time the high built walls of Nico Di Angelo crumpled to dust. He told me that himself. He also told me that if someone loves you as much as him and my dad loved each other, yes, the first instinct is to protect, but to build a strong relationship, you have to be true to each other."

"So? What does that have to do with your conceivement?" Demanded Nico, unfazed by Helena's short speach.

"My dad wanted to be with you, he only thought of my mom as a friend. Everyone knew that. But the God's wouldn't expect his choice, so they gave him a proposition.
My mom was to have another child with him, then he can go be with you."

Nico became even more tense making Percy frown deeper.

"But you now my dad, he's stubborn and impulsive. He told them he wasn't going to sleep with mom again, willingly or otherwise. But the God's have their ways, and all they needed was a piece of his DNA.
My dad desperately wanted to be with Nico so he let them take a piece of his DNA. They put it together with mom's DNA..and I was put in the womb...kind of like surrogacy or IVF, but with the God's."

The present teens were once again silent, again not knowing what to say.

Nico relaxed back against Percy, feeling quite shameful for assuming ahead.

"Well, that was long!" Leo exclaimed, interrupting the silent peacefulness.

Will threw an annoyed look at Leo before turning to Val. "What about you? Why don't you tell us about yourself Valentina."
