Jeremy and Charlotte build the tent. But they sounded irritated to me. They were bickering all that while. Charlotte used all that time making comments on him and his "anti-feminist ass." Her words, not mine. Every time the guy did a mistake he heard a few words from Charlotte. By now they are calling each other "Charlie" and "Jerry" which everyone finds ridiculous. But Carver looks rather happy that we have some drama here.
It is going to get dark pretty soon so I and Luke are gonna go around with flashlights to bring some wood to make fire at night. I find this job super easy but we'll actually have to help around a lot. And from the look of Jeremy and Charlotte, I don't think they are in any condition to do anything after this. We have been waiting to change and trembling in our swimsuits.
Ugh and here I am trying to pull down my shirt, it fits me perfectly fine but the neck is too small for my big head. Finally, I was successful in pulling the shirt down and it felt like I was being choked before.
I pulled up capri pants. I picked up the clothes I tossed here & there. Coming out of the tent I went to the tree where the guys tied a rope so that we can dry our damp clothes. And hanging up my swimsuit which is no different than hanging out underwear isn't what I would like to do but just because the girls had also done the same. I did it too.
I lied a bedsheet on the ground near the pit Luke made, where we'll make fire. We don't have logs of woods to sit on whilst we heat the marshmallows. That needs lots of hard work and an ax.
Charlotte walked up to me, her hands on her waist. She changed to a different outfit. A black & white check pattern shirt and lose pants. In my opinion? It is a good decision as we need the comfiest clothes possible whilst we are camping.
"Ugh, thanks I was tired," Charlotte said with a mischievous glint in her eyes and I covered my mouth with my hands before giggling. She is such a social person. You can't help but like her.
Jeremy lied down on the sheet and settled in a perfect sleeping position. Tucked his hand under his head and his legs bent. It looked like a fetal position, like the baby in the mother's womb. Let's be honest we all like to lie down like that.
"Your welcome," I said sarcastically. And he snorted in laughter, "You should thank me first, I am a tired little soul. I did a good deed and you sinners aren't even saying a thank you."
I stuck out my tongue and walked away.
Someone is being ridiculously weird. The cold wind blowing my hair and making my hair tangle caught my attention. It's getting darker and almost purplish blue with clouds floating here and there. I haven't seen this view for 2 years. Huh, that is a long time considering this place is barely 5km away. I run my fingers through my hair and sat on a large stone. There it was, near my foot we carved with the help of any sharp object we found. Whether it be a hammer, sharp stones, or scissors...
I touched the carved letters, that was barely understandable "C C M".
She was never much of a reader but she was a Lil obsessed with searching words in the dictionary at that time. We were 11 years old. Not very young but, yeah we were stupid. The carvings were barely visible this evening.
I was a little startled by the song which begins to play loudly. What the hell?
"Are we in a concert or something, huh?" I heard Carver say. Charlotte
was lying on the sheet beside Jeremy and they were playing songs."You know what you guys are doing?" Carver asked with hand gestures as he approached them with utensils in his hands. A ladle and spatula.
"Listening to music? What is the big deal anyway, Mum." She said casually as she kept on playing "Focus" by Ariana Grande.
