I felt horrible running out on Draco this morning.
After such a wonderful night as well.
He's such a mystery to me- everything I come to learn about or experience with him- is like another piece of a puzzle that I didn't know existed. For instance- I would have bet my life that he lost is virginity back in third year to one of the Slytherin twats he always snogged. Never in a million years would I have thought that I had sex before he had.
I wasn't surprised, however, that he didn't enjoy the tid bit of information about Harry and I. Nonetheless, he seemed to push that aside when I told him why.
He's still a hothead- I don't think that'll ever leave him, but since he got released from Azkaban and I started interacting with him- I've come to realize that my previous thoughts of him are by far incorrect- which never happens to me. I can read people like books, but Draco Malfoy isn't a book at all. He's more of a cryptic scroll that is never ending. Leaving me to decode every bit of information on every inch of the ongoing parchment.
Will I ever reach the end?
"Minister Granger- thank God, you've arrived." George Harrison extends his hand to me and smiles warmly. George is the Muggle Liason I have been communicating with since Synard started attacking Muggles. He's an American, who has previoused worked with Ilvermorny School of Witch Craft and Wizardy- when a Muggle magically stepped into their school building and questions were raised as to how and why the child was there. Ever since the N.A.M.W.W- The North American Ministry of Witchcraft and Wizardy- has been in contact with Harrison- they recently advised that he and I meet to discuss my idea of allowing Muggles to know about Witches and Wizards- to an extent of course. "I was worried we'd have to reschedule and I'm due in Australia after we wrap things up here- so it wouldn't have been ideal."
George- a tall, lanky- black haired man- can be very charming when he needs to be, but also very curt, I've come to find.
"Terribly sorry, Mr. Harrison. My alarm didn't appear to have been set right. May I offer you coffee, or tea perhaps?" I offer and he smiles and nods.
"Coffee, please. I fear tea is not on my list of favored beverages- yet. Still trying to acquire the taste for it." He charmingly says as he puts his hat and jacket on my coat rack.
"That's perfectly fine. It took me a while to acquire that taste as well- something about the Earthiness of it all...rather drink Mandrake Potting soil than most of tea selections they have." I joke and he smiles. His piercing blue eyes are like burning sapphires- cutting deep into my soul and causing my knees to wobble slightly whenever we catch glances.
"Well, surely a bright young witch like yourself has come to find ways around the Earthyness."
"Unfortunately, not of late. Have a seat and let's discuss our pressing matters." I gesture to the couch and he politely nods and sits down, while I hand him his coffee and levitate the coffee tray in front of him to add sugar or cream to his drink.
"As long as I work with Witches and Wizards- I still find it hard to wrap my head around charmed objects as such." He puts two sugars in his cup as well as some cream before dismissing my tray- where it rests on the coffee table between us.
"Growing up in a Muggle household- I too found it rather odd at first, but it surely does grow on you."
"Indeed. So, word got to the N.A.M- that a young man with a nasty reputation managed to end the Bartoli Problem." He sips from his cup and I smile slightly.
"Yes, Mr. Draco Malfoy—."
"Malfoy? As in Lucius Malfoy's son? Really? Well that is very interesting." I watch him cautiously as he flips through his journal and then takes out a pen and hits down something.
