--Wilbur's POV--

i woke up to the front door slamming, jolting my eyes open, i checked the time

three in the morning

i heard a knocking on my door

i groaned, annoyed that i was being disturbed

"come in" i answered, grogily

techno walked in, stumbling around and filling my room with the scent of alcohol

"techno- you're- you're drunk!"

"haaha- yeah" he responded, his words slurring

he lent against my door and slid down it to the ground

he rested his head against the chipping wood as i decided to sit up and attempt to talk to him

"techno, where have you been all day?"

i heard him mumble a response

"can you say that louder? i didn't hear you" 

"i was at- uh, hm, the orphanage?" he said, almost like he was asking himself if he was really there

i was taken aback slightly by his answer

"the orphanage? you mean the one in the next town over?"

"yeah!" he said, his arms waving around drastically, "that one!"

"why were you at the orphanage?"

he giggled

"techno?"

"wha?"

"why were you at the orphanage?"

"ohhhh- i have a job there! well- i don't get paid, i choose it!" he said, giggling even more

i sat up, fully awaken by this new information

"you what?" i asked

"i do stuff at the orphanage! i help the kids, play with them, teach them, all that crap and bla bla bla!"

"i'm sorry. you help at the orphanage?"

"yeah dummy! don't you have ears?" he said as he erupted into laughter

i was still shocked by this new person i had suddenly met

this couldn't be techno, he spends his days at bars and clubs.. right?

"then why are you drunk?"

"ohhhh- good question!"

he didn't give a response

"tech?"

"yuh?"

"why are you drunk"

"oohhh- yeah! minx helps out too! we're best friends y'know! and she likes- you know- drinking, she's irish y'know, so she suggested we go to the bar in the town after we finished our hours!"

i looked at him, eyes wide

he turned back at me and stared me back in the eyes

i blinked a couple times before shaking my head

"so.. you're telling me you volunteer at a orphanage with minx?"

"yeah! that's what!"
