twenty four

--Techno's POV-- 

the next day as i woke up i didn't recognise my surroundings

i panicked, scared, before i realised i had fallen asleep in wilbur's room

i looked around my brother's room, wondering where he was and why on earth he allowed me to sleep in his bed

then i remembered

all the memories of the previous day came flooding back to me as my head crashed back down onto the pillow below me

the tears started to steadily fall out of my eyes and down my face as i sobbed

then i heard a sharp notification from my phone, i turned on my side, my eyes blurry with tears as i fumbled for my phone

i blinked a couple times before i could read my screen

New text from:

Minx

"You coming to tangen today?"

it read

Tagenburg Orphanage was the place i volunteered at

no one knew i helped out there, no one needed to know

i didn't want people to have coloured opinions of me, i'd much prefer the monotone one's they have now, either they like me and find me cool, or they hate me and find me strange, and it's been like that forever, so why introduce the colour now?

i quickly unlock my phone and text out a reply, saying that i'll be there

i sat up in my brother's bed and rubbed my eyes furiously, trying to erase the memories of yesterday

i swung my legs over onto the ground and stood up, i quietly opened the chipped wooden door and left, i swiftly opened my door and walked in to see it empty

and cold

a shiver got sent up my spine as i grinned, i watched as my brother glided out from the bathroom, grinning back at me

i analysed his eyes to see the colour of his yellow pupils and his pink irises

"hey lil' bro!"

"hey" he responded, "orphanage?"

i stepped back a bit, confused

"how did you know about that?" i asked

"i remember.. i don't know when.. but you told me one night, you might've been drunk, i don't know anything else" he responded, his face scrunching slightly, trying to remember

"oh-" i said, "i didn't realise i told anyone"

"that's because you were drunk, i think" he replied, giggling slightly

i chuckled in response whilst walking over to my chest of draws, i grabbed out a random shirt and some back jeans

i turned to wilbur and gave him a look, he understood as his eyes shone a light blue with a yellow undertone, he drifted into the bathroom

i got dressed into the shirt and jeans and grabbed a jumper

"ok, done!" i said, loudly

just as he floated back into my room, someone knocked on the door

i turned to look at wilbur, he nodded, smiling

"come in!" i said, turning back around to face the door

tommy walked in, peering around the door before doing so

"techno.. who are you talking to?"

"i'm talking to wilbur" i replied, as i started searching for a hairbrush

he laughed with uncertainty 

"techno.. what do you mean?"

i turned back to face him 

i met his eyes, they portrayed confusion and heart break

"i- i'm talking to wilbur- he-"

i got cut off as tommy walked over to me, angrily

he grabbed my shoulders with ease, since he was so tall, and he shook me aggressively

"techno! cut this bullshit out! wilbur is gone ok?"

"tommy.. can't you see him?" i replied

"see who techno?"

"can't you see wilbur?"
