7. Retribution

<The next morning, Jake wakes up to a strange message on his phone and txt Jay>

JK: I know it's you Jay.  I'm guessing SH knows about the chicken game and is upset?  What kind of retribution?  Tell me everything he said.

Jay: Yeah, you're good.  He won't tell me. He said I would give it up in a second.  But he said something about delish, punishment fitting the crime, and it already started.

JK: Okay, thanks.        Jay: What are you going to do?       

JK: Not sure yet.  <end txt>

<An hour later, Jake and Jay txt each other>

Jay: That wasn't me earlier, SH grabbed my phone.    

JK: Yeah, it didn't sound like you.

Jay: What are you going to do?      JK:  I'll tell you later. <end txt>

<After School, Jake and Jay txt each other>

Jay: Maybe you should give in?  Let him have what he wants?

JK: What does he want?            Jay:  Don't you know?

JK: How would I know?  Maybe you should ask him? 

Jay: Why would I ask him?  If you don't know, how are you going to apologize and make it up to him?

JK: I have no idea?  I'm not a mind reader.  Did he say anything else?

Jay: Let me think <pause for 2 mins> No.

JK: I still don't know why he was ignoring me before.  Did he say anything about that?

Jay: He might have, but you know me, can't recall every detail.

JK: Wouldn't that be a relevant detail you wouldn't forget?

Jay: You expect me to prioritize my thoughts?  Ok, let me think, he might have said something about wanting something since D-1.  Maybe like your v-card? <laughing like crazy in his head>

JK: What?  No way, you're making this up.  That's off-limit. 

JK: <stops txting, dials Jay phones, follows the ring to the bathroom and yells> SH I know you're in there, open up.

JK: <txts Jay's Phone> I know it's you SH, get out of the bathroom and talk to me. You're busted. <then txts SH's phone> Where are you?

<No response from either phone>
